The Rookie Season 4, December 19, 2021 Episode 10 Delayed. Not Airing For A While
Hey,”The Rookie” fans. Unfortunately, we have something very bad to tell you in this article. It turns out that The Rookie is being delayed, right now, for a couple of weeks. So, ABC is not going to air the next, new episode 10 of The Rookie’s current season 4 tonight, December 19, 2021.
That’s right, guys. We’ve gotten official confirmation from ABC that The Rookie is currently being delayed for two weeks. That means the new episode 10 will not air until Sunday night, January 2, 2022 in its usual, 9 pm central standard time slot. So, certainly be sure to commit that very important date to memory.
We did find out what ABC is airing instead of the next, new episode 10 of The Rookie’s current season 4 tonight. According to the TV guide listings, ABC is going to air the 1965 production, “The Sound of Music.” ABC’s official description for it reads like this, “A novitiate (Julie Andrews) leaves her convent and becomes governess to Capt. Von Trapp’s (Christopher Plummer) seven children in Austria before World War II.”
Then, next Sunday night, December 26, 2021, ABC is going to air a repeat episode of The Rookie. It will be the 9th episode of this season 9 titled, “Breakdown.” ABC’s official description for it reads like this, “Desperate to break free from his connection to Elijah, Wesley tries to plant a listening device in his office to incriminate him. Officer Bradford and his sister, Genny, learn an unsettling truth about their father.”
If any of you guys are down to watch that alternate line of programming, you might still want to watch ABC during this two-week delay period.
If you only want nothing but the next, new episode 10 of The Rookie’s current season 4, you will definitely want to get some other plans lined up as quick as you can.

So, let’s go ahead and take a look at that.
First thing’s first. ABC let us know that this new episode 10 of The Rookie’s current season 4 is officially labeled/titled, “Heart Beat.” It sounds like episode 10 will feature some very interesting, intense, dramatic, emotional, action-filled and suspenseful scenes.
ABC’s official description for episode 10 reads like this, “Now that John Nolan knows about Bailey’s past, he must decide if they still have a future. Meanwhile, when a plane crashes in the middle of the city the team races to find out why.”
Episode 10 will feature a couple of guest stars. They are: Matthew Glave as character Oscar Hutchinson, Arjay Smith as character James Murray, Helena Mattson as character Ashley McGrady and Steve Kazee as character Jason Wyler.
Episode 10 was written by Fredrick Kotto ,and it was directed by SJ Main Muñoz.
Again, ABC confirmed that the next, new episode 10 of The Rookie’s current season 10 is scheduled to finally make its debut on Sunday night, January 2, 2022 at approximately 9 pm central standard time.
