Power Book II Ghost Season 2, February 6, 2022 Episode 10 Is The Finale. Season 3 Is Happening
Hey, “Power Book II: Ghost” fans. We hope you guys totally had a great time with what tonight’s episode 10 had to offer, especially since it is indeed the very last episode of Power Book II: Ghost’s current season 2. That’s right, guys. Episode 10 was indeed the finale episode. Here’s the thing though. We’ve got some great news to follow up that bad news.
We can officially tell you guys that STARZ did indeed renew Power Book II: Ghost for a brand new season 3! That’s right, guys. Pop a cork on those champagne bottles because your favorite show is coming back with another new set of presumably 10, new episodes at some point in the future! We’ll get the release date, episode count and all those other important details later on down the road.
We got some additional news about this from the folks over at TVline.com. It turns out that Courtney Kemp who is the executive producer for Power Book II: Ghost is leaving to explore a high profile deal over at Netflix.
So, Brett Mahoney who worked on the former, popular, FOX show Empire will be replacing Courtney Kemp as the showrunner and executive producer of Power Book II: Ghost, and the new season 3 is scheduled to start filming at anytime now. So, we could possibly get a Summer 2022 release date. We’ll have to wait and see.
Jeffrey Hirsch who is the president and CEO of STARZ had some wonderful things to say about Power Book II: Ghost during the renewal announcement saying, “The continued success and cultural resonance of the Power universe is unprecedented, and fans are clearly still hungry for more Power Book II: Ghost.
We’re excited for the third season of the star-studded series to get into production early next year just ahead of the debut Power Book IV: Force, the fourth installment in the rapidly expanding franchise.”
In addition to the season 3 renewal of Power Book II: Ghost, STARZ has decided to add on another two, new spin off shows to this Power series. They are “Power Book IV: Force,” which centers around Joseph Sikora’s character Tommy Eagan in the original Power series, and “Power Book V: Influence,” which centers around Lorenz Tate’s character Rashad Tate as he seeks political glory.
Power Book II: Ghost season 2 averaged 508,000 LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.14 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 9, which aired last Sunday night, January 30, 2022, drew in 533,000 LIVE viewers, and a 0.14 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was episode 8 with 566,000 LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 4 with 423,000 LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was episode 8 with a 0.18 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 5 with a 0.15 ratings score.
