According to the folks over at TVline.com , STARZ decided ,early on, that they wanted to renew this show for a new season 2. They renewed it way back in early March 2022 when this first season was just halfway through its run.
TVline also let us know that the creator of this current season 1 of Power Book IV: Force Robert Munic has stepped down and is being replaced by Gary Lennon who was an executive producer for the original Power series. He’s also worked on shows like Euphoria and Hightown.
During the season 2 renewal announcement, STARZ network President and Ceo Jeffrey Hirsch had some very positive things to say about Power Book IV: Force and its future stating, “Fans have been eagerly awaiting Joseph’s return as the iconic Tommy Egan and from the show’s record-setting debut, it was clear right away that they want to see another season of him taking on this new city.
We are thrilled to have Joseph back in the Power Universe and to be expanding the world with a new tapestry of power players brought to life by our fantastic cast.”
