SWAT Season 5, May 22, 2022 Episode 22 Is The Finale. Season 6 Is Happening
Hey, “S.W.A.T.” fans. We hope you guys totally dug what episode 22 brought to the table tonight, especially since it was the very last episode that you’ll be seeing for this current season 5. That’s right, guys. Your favorite show SWAT is capping off with 22 episodes, making episode 22 the season 5 finale installment.
On a much brighter note, we can officially tell you that SWAT isn’t done forever though. CBS has officially renewed SWAT to come back with another round of new episodes for a brand new season 6! So, bust out those champagne bottles because it is on, guys. It is so on. Currently, we don’t know when season 6 will start or how many episodes it will feature. We’re going to have to wait until CBS announces that very important info at a later date.
According to the folks over Deadline.com , this great, season 6 renewal news was delivered back in April 2022. So, SWAT did get an early renewal, which is a very good sign for the future life of the show. CBS was very confident in wanting to bring it back for a new season.
Hondo star Shemar Moore actually hopped on his official Twitter account back in April 2022 to reveal the season 6 renewal news writing, “Aaaayyeeeee!!!! Homies, Fans, n Baby Girls!!!!! You heard it here first!!!! @swatcbs is renewed for SEASON 6 !!!!!! SWAT season 5 averaged 4.326 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.46 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 21, which aired last Sunday night, May 15,2022, drew in 4.092 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.41 ratings score.
The most viewed episode was episode 5 with 5.329 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 15 with 3.668 million LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episodes were episodes 7 and 8. They both tied for first place with a 0.54 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 16 with a 0.38 ratings score. If you factor in the Live+7 DVR playback numbers, season 5 actually averaged 6.6 million viewers per episode, and a 0.80 ratings score.
