So You Think You Can Dance June 15, 2022 Top 12 Revealed (Recap)

Hey, “So You Think You Can Dance” fans. Tonight, June 15, 2022, another new episode of So You Think You Can Dance’s current 2022 edition aka season 17 did indeed air, and we found out who the top 12 will be. The judges: Leah Remini, Stephen “tWitch” Boss and JoJo Siwa were on hand once again. Leah took over for Matthew Morrison who left the show back in May due to some conflict issues.

Tonight’s episode kicked off with them revealing that James “Lord Finn” Thomas made it into the top 12 over Shelfar Delgado.

Virginia Crouse made it into the top 12 over Jaliyah “Juicy” Kersten. Then, James and Virginia performed a hip hop routine to “Drop it Like It’s Hot” by Snoop Dogg feat. Pharrell Williams. It was choreographed by Luther Brown.

Afterwards, tWitch said, “I loved the swag and energy. Y’all showed up for each other.” Leah said, “You worked beautifully as a team.” JoJo congratulated Luther for his creative choreography.


Next, they revealed that Jordan Betscher made it into the top 12 over Jocelyn Martinez. Waverly Fredericks made it into the top 12 over Konnor Kelly.

Then, Waverly and Jordan perform a contemporary routine to “Bon in the Rain and the Lizard of Hope” by Tom Rosenthal. Props! It was choreographed by Mandy Korpinen & Elizabeth Petrin. Afterwards, JoJo said, “I loved your chemistry.” tWitch said, “I loved your extension and length.” Leah said, “I saw your connection.”

Next, they revealed that Anna Miller made it into the top 12 over Mia Mellican. Beau Harmon made it into the top 12 over Samuel McWilliams. Then, Anna and Beau perform a Broadway number to “Dancing in the Dark” by Frank Sinatra. It was choreographed by Al Blackstone.

Afterwards, Leah said, “I love that Beau is here.” JoJo said, “You two committed whole heartedly to the routine.” tWitch said, “I’m excited to see more of your partnership.”

Next, they revealed that Thiago Pacheco made it into the top 12 over Jerome Cunanan. Essence Wilmington made it into the top 12 over Flora Dickens. Then, Thiago and Essence performed a contemporary routine to “No More I Love Yous” by Annie Lennox. It was choreographed by Tessandra Chavez.

Afterwards, tWitch told Essence, “I’m impressed with your ability as a hip hop dancer to perform contemporary.” He told Thiago, “Point your feat. Dive deeper into that character.” Leah said, “You need to connect more.” JoJo said, “I believed the story, but you both need to work on your nerves.”

Next, Carter Williams made it into the top 12 over Tresten Sosa. Ralyn Johnson made it into the top 12 over JoJo Lokhorst. Then, Carter and Ralyn danced a Jive routine to “I’m Still Standing” by Elton John. It was choreographed by Dancing with the Stars pro Alan Bersten.

Afterwards, JoJo said, “I’m impressed with the many flips, tricks performed and stamina.” tWitch said, “You had high octane and high energy.” Leah said, “That routine was infectious.”

Next, Keaton Kermode made it into the top 12 over Matthew Deloch. Alexis Warr made it into the top 12 over Camila Schwarz. Then, Alexis and Keaton delivered a contemporary dance to “Rome” by Dermot Kennedy. It was choreographed by Talia Favia.

Afterwards, Leah said, “You were telling the story. You both connected.” JoJo said, “You have great side-by-side section. This is the best dance I’ve ever seen.” tWitch said, “It was beautiful and artful.”

After all that, the top 12 performed a group routine to Bussin by Nicki Minaj and Lil Baby. It was choreographed by Luther Brown.

So again, your top 12 dancers for this season 17 are: James “Lord Finn” Thomas, Virginia Crouse, Jordan Betscher, Waverly Fredericks, Anna Miller, Beau Harmon, Thiago Pacheco, Essence Wilmington, Carter Williams, Raylyn Johnson, Keaton Kermode and Alexis Warr.
