House Of The Dragon Season 1, October 23, 2022 Episode 10 Is The Finale. Season 2 Is Happening
Hey, “House Of The Dragon” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed what tonight’s episode 10 brought to the table tonight, especially since it was the very last episode of this current season 1 of House Of The Dragon. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s episode 10 was indeed the season 1 finale episode, bringing this season 1 journey to an end.
However, the good news is that it’s not the end for this show forever because we’ve officially learned that HBO did indeed renew House Of The Dragon for a brand new season 2! That’s right, guys. Your favorite series will be returning with an all new season at some point in the future.
According to the folks over at Deadline.com , HBO was actually so pleased by how the season premiere episode 1 performed that they gave House Of The Dragon an early renewal about 6 days after the premiere episode aired.
In the United States alone, House Of The Dragon’s very first episode 1 drew in 9.986 million viewers across all the HBO streaming platforms to become HBO’s most-watched premiere for a new original series in the network’s history.
According to Deadline.com , the first episode has gone on to be seen by over 20 million viewers in the United States.
During the season 2 renewal announcement, Francesca Orsi who is the Executive Vice President for HBO Programming had absolutely wonderful things to say about the show stating, “We are beyond proud of what the entire House of the Dragon team has accomplished with season one. Our phenomenal cast and crew undertook a massive challenge and exceeded all expectations, delivering a show that has already established itself as must-see-TV.
A huge thank you to George, Ryan, and Miguel for leading us on this journey. We couldn’t be more excited to continue bringing to life the epic saga of House Targaryen with Season 2.”
According to the LIVE Nielson ratings, House Of The Dragon season 1 averaged 1.873 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.44 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode, which aired last Sunday night, October 16, 2022, drew in 1.559 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.36 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was episode 2 with 2.264 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 9 with 1.559 million LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was episode 2 with a 0.59 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 9 with a 0.36 ratings score. Again, all those numbers were more than tripled on the streaming platforms, but even if they weren’t, those were great LIVE numbers for a cable show. So, congrats to the House Of The Dragon cast for getting a new season 2. They’re doing an excellent job.
