The Amazing Race December 7, 2022 Winners Revealed In Finale Episode (Recap)
Hey, “The Amazing Race” fans. Tonight, December 7, 2022, another new episode of The Amazing Race’s current season 34 did indeed hit the air, and this one was the finale episode. So, we finally found out who won this thing tonight.
Tonight’s finale episode kicked off with the teams learning that they needed to fly to Nashville, Tennessee to get this final leg of this season started. Once they got there, they had to go to Lynchburg, TN. Once they got there, they competed in a challenge titled, “Whiskey Business.” During it, the teams had to correctly label and pack 30 bottles of whiskey to get their next clue.
After the teams successfully completed the Whiskey Business task, they were directed to drive to the Korean Veterans Memorial Bridge to get their next clue. When they got there, they hit a Road Block challenge. In this one, one team member had to climb up the bridge to get their clue off of a guitar pick and then repel back down to their partner.
When the teams successfully knocked out the Roadblock challenge, they had to go to the Gibson Guitar Garage. When they got there, they had to complete a challenge called, “Gibson Guitar Deliver.” In this one, the teams had to deliver three prized guitar instruments to musicians performing at different Honky-Tonks on lower Broadway to get their next clue.
Emily & Molly got lost trying to find the Gibson Guitar Garage, which bumped them down into 3rd place because it allowed Michelle & Luis to pass them up.
After the teams successfully finished up the Gibson Guitar Deliver challenge, they were directed to hit up the Nashville Municipal Auditorium to get their next clue. When they got there, they had to complete a challenge titled, “Keys to Success.”
In this one, the teams had to bring the sequence of notes of “The Amazing Race” theme to life using a large floor piano. To get the correct sequence of notes, they had to remember the chronological order of events they encountered throughout the race.
Then, they had to play them on the floor piano before 11 seconds was up. Each time they started to play the sequence, they were only given 11 seconds to get them all right. So, they had to keep starting over a lot. Eventually, Derek and Claire were the first ones to get it right. So, they took off for the pit stop/finish line, which was The Ryman. Molly & Emily finished up right behind them. So, it was a footrace to the finish line.
Ultimately, Claire & Derek did make it to the pit stop ,first, to claim The Amazing Race season 34 victory and the $1 million dollar grand prize that came along with it! So, much congrats to Claire & Derek. Molly & Emma came in second place for the runner-up spot, and Michelle & Luis finished in 3rd place.
