Snowfall Season 6 April 19, 2023 Episode 10 Is The Finale. Season 7 Is Not Happening
Hey, “Snowfall” fans. We hope you guys thoroughly enjoyed episode 10 tonight, especially since it was indeed the last episode not only for this current season 6, but forever. Yep, unfortunately, this current season 6 was the very last one forever.
According to the folks over at TVLine.com , news of season 6 being the last one broke out way back in April 2022. It was revealed during the season 6 renewal announcement that season 6 would be the last one.
The show’s main star Damson Idris aka Franklin made a very positive statement during the final season 6 announcement saying, “I couldn’t imagine telling this story anywhere but at FX. I’m incredibly proud of the history we have all made. Especially the impact Snowfall has had on the culture.
Very rarely does a TV show get to the sixth-season mark and saying goodbye to Franklin Saint will be heartbreaking. But the family and relationships I’ve made on this journey will last a lifetime. I know John Singleton is looking down smiling proud.”
The FX president of original programming Nick Grad also made a very positive statement during the final season 6 announcement saying, “FX first partnered with legendary writer/director John Singleton and the rest of the creative team six years ago to pursue their vision for an ambitious, powerful drama about the explosion of the crack epidemic of the early 80s.
Today, as the fifth season of Snowfall reaches new heights of acclaim and viewership, there is no question that this series has become an FX classic drama. We are thrilled to order a sixth season that will enable Dave Andron, Walter Mosley, and the rest of the producers to bring Snowfall to a climatic finale showcasing the brilliance of everyone involved, from the stellar cast led by Damson Idris, to the writers, directors, artists and crew.”
Snowfall’s last season 6 averaged 533,000 LIVE viewers, and a 0.20 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 9, which aired last Wednesday night, drew in 601,000 LIVE viewers, and a 0.24 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 608,000 LIVE viewers. The least-watched episode was episode 2 with 438,000 LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was episode 9 with a 0.24 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 3 with a 0.15 ratings score. These numbers were based on the Nielsen ratings and doesn’t include the numbers from the streaming platforms.
