Ghosts Season 2 May 11, 2023 Episode 22 Is The Finale. Season 3 Is Happening
Hey, “Ghosts” fans. We hope you guys thoroughly enjoyed episode 22 tonight, especially since it was the very last episode for Ghosts’ current season 2. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s episode 22 wrapped up this season 2 of Ghosts. So, you guys will have to wait a pretty good while before you see another new episode of it, especially with this whole writers strike going on right now.
However, that leads us into the good news we have to share with you because we can officially confirm with you, right now, that CBS has decided to renew Ghosts for a brand new season 3! That’s right, guys. That means Ghosts will be back with another round of new episodes for you guys at some point in the future.
According to the folks over at Deadline.com, CBS actually gave Ghosts a very early renewal for season 3. They renewed it way, way back in January 2023. So, CBS was definitely pleased with Ghosts’ performance this season.
Amy Reisenbach who is the president of CBS Entertainment had some lovely words to say about Ghosts during the renewal announcement stating, “This season, executive producers Joe Port, Joe Wiseman and the brilliant cast delivered episodes that far surpassed our expectations. From the opening of the Woodstone B&B to epic Halloween and Christmas episodes, we have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our GHOSTS even better.
Much like our viewers, we love them more each and every week. As the series continues to win fans on broadcast and streaming, we’re thrilled to bring back this touching and hilarious comedy for a third season.”
Ghosts season 2 averaged 6.525 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.56 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 21 which aired last Thursday night, May 4, 2023, managed to draw in 6.403 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.50 ratings score.
The most-viewed episodes were episodes 9 and 10. They both tied for first place with 7.000 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 4 with 6.080 million LIVE viewers. The highest-rated episodes were episodes 3 and 14. They both tied for first place with a 0.63 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 19 with a 0.47 ratings score.
When you include all the viewers from the streaming platforms, they shoot the average episode viewership count to a whopping 11.5 million viewers per episode. It is ranked as the number 1 comedy series on Paramount+ and CBS, and it’s one of their most-streamed shows. So, it’s certainly not hard to see why CBS decided to give it a very early season 3 renewal with no doubts in their minds.
