911 Lone Star Season 4 May 16, 2023 Episodes 17 & 18 Are The Finale. Season 5 Is Happening
Hey, “9-1-1: Lone Star” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed the back-to-back episodes 17 and 18 tonight, especially since they were indeed the very last episodes of this current season 4 of 9-1-1: Lone Star. That’s right, guys. 9-1-1: Lone Star season 4 is now a wrap as of tonight.
That means you guys won’t get to see another new episode of it for quite some time, especially with this writers’ strike that’s going on, which could set production back longer than usual.
With that said, we do have some good news for you. We can officially confirm with you, right now, that 9-1-1: Lone Star has been renewed for a brand new season 5 over at FOX. That means you guys will get a brand new slate of 9-1-1: Lone Star episodes at some point in the future.
Again, we don’t know when season 5 will show up, especially since this writers strike is going on. Usually, new seasons of 9-1-1: Lone Star don’t premiere until after the mid-season. So, it does have time on its side for this writers strike issue to clear up if it can clear up over the summer.
According to the folks over at Deadline.com , FOX made the decision to renew 9-1-1: Lone Star earlier this month, May 2023. Oddly enough, they had to get rid of the original 9-1-1 show because it was just too friggin expensive for them. Disney’s ABC took it off their hands. So, if you’re also a fan of the original 9-1-1 show, you’ll have to flip over to ABC to watch it from now on.
According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, 9-1-1: Lone Star season 4 averaged 3.641 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.45 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 16, which aired last Tuesday night, May 9, 2023, managed to draw in 3.372 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.42 ratings score.

When you tack on the numbers from the streaming platforms, it shoots the average episode viewership numbers to 5.9 million viewers, and the average ratings score to 0.80. 9-1-1: Lone Star is the number 2 ranked show for FOX behind the original 9-1-1 show, which has been moved to ABC.
