The Voice October 17, 2023 Battles Rounds Results Revealed (Recap)
Hey, “The Voice” fans. Tonight, October 18, 2023, another new episode of The Voice’s current season 24 hit the air. This one featured the very first round of the Battles. The coaches/judges: Niall Horan, John Legend, Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani were all on hand.
Deejay Young and Ephraim Owens of Team Legend kicked off the Battles rounds tonight. They sang to Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me A River” song. Afterwards, Reba said,”I loved the way you engaged the audience.” Niall said, “The performance worked best when you were harmonizing.” Gwen said, “I enjoyed how you both commanded the stage with different personalities.” John said, “You have different voices, but managed to remain in synch with each other.” Ultimately, John chose to keep Deejay over Ephraim.
Jordan Rainer and Jackson Snelling from team Reba were up next. They perform to Reba’s song titled, “A Heart Won’t Lie.” Afterwards, Niall said, “Jackson’s tone is unique, and I liked that Jordan had a different tone in this performance.” Gwen said, “Jordan’s voice is very unique, and I want to see what else she has to show in this competition.”
John said, “Jackson was “inviting and welcoming.” Reba said, “Jackson, you were “friendly and open.” Jordan, vocal was wonderful.” Ultimately, Reba chose to keep Jordan over Jackson because of how different she is from everyone else.
Next, Tanner Massey and Lennon Vanderdoes performed to “She’s Always a Woman” song. Afterwards, Gwen said,”I was taken aback by both of the singers. Lennon was unique, and Tanner was magical.” John said, “You were both amazing and made it your own.”
Reba said, “Lennon was well-suited to the song because he sings so high, and Tanner was able to change as the song changed, and he has good stage presence.” Niall said,”I appreciated Lennon’s tone and control while Tanner has flare that is “beautiful to listen to.” Ultimately, Niall chose to keep Lennon over Tanner.
After all of that. John and Gwenboth offered to steal Tanner, and Tanner decided to take Gwen up on her offer. So, he is now on team Gwen.
