Hey, “Dancing With The Stars” fans. We’re back in your faces tonight with some more terrific news. The folks over at ABC will indeed serve up another new, LIVE performances/results episode of Dancing With The Stars tonight, October 24, 2023. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s new episode will be the 5th installment for Dancing With The Stars’ current season 32, and we’ve got some new preview intel for it.
ABC did put out an official press release for tonight’s new, October 24, 2023 episode 5. So, we will certainly reference it in this preview session. Let’s get to it.
For starters, we’ve got an official title/theme for tonight’s new, October 24, 2023 episode 5 of Dancing With The Stars season 32. It’s called, “Most Memorable Year.” That means you guys are going to see the celebrity contestants perform dances that are inspired by a very significant moment/year in their lives.
You will also see the pro dancers hit the stage to perform a special dance tribute to honor the late Len Goodman. In this performance, the pro dancers will dance to the song, “Moon River” by artist Henry Mancini. This dance was choreographed by dance pros Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson.
Some of the pro dancers that will be returning for this special tribute performance are: Kym Herjavec, Anna Trebunskaya, Karina Smirnoff, Edyta Sliwinska, Tony Dovolani, Louis van Amstel, Maks Chmerkovskiy and Mark Ballas.
When all the performances are all wrapped up, America will ,once again, get to vote LIVE for their favorite couples. The couple with the least amount of votes will get sadly eliminated from this season.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new, LIVE, October 24, 2023 episode 5 of Dancing With The Stars season 32 reads like this, “Ten Couples Remain To Compete for a Chance at Taking Home the ‘Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.’ The 10 remaining couples take a moment to reminisce as they perform dances inspired by a pivotal year that held great significance in their lives. “Most Memorable Year.”
In honor of the beloved Len Goodman, former pro dancers will return to the ballroom for a special dance tribute set to the timeless melody “Moon River” by Henry Mancini, choreography by pros Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson. Returning pro dancers include Kym Herjavec, Anna Trebunskaya, Karina Smirnoff, Edyta Sliwinska, Tony Dovolani, Louis van Amstel, as well as Maks Chmerkovskiy and Mark Ballas.
Fans will be able to vote during the live simulcast of the show in the EDT/CDT time zones. During this time, online voting will be available to fans in any time zone in the U.S., its territories and Canada via dwtsvote.abc.com, and fans with a participating U.S. wireless carrier can also vote via SMS/text (fans in Canada cannot vote via SMS/text).
Live viewer votes will be combined with the judges’ scores each episode to determine which couples may be in jeopardy of elimination.” An alternate description tells us,”DANCING WITH THE STARS’ TAKES A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE FOR ‘MOST MEMORABLE YEAR’ ON OCT. 24.”
ABC’s press release also let us know what dances the celebrity contestants will be performing tonight. So, we’re going to reveal those right now. Alyson Hannigan and pro Sasha Farber will perform a Viennese Waltz to “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran.
Mira Sorvino and pro Gleb Savchenko will perform a Contemporary to “Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper. Xochitl Gomez and pro Val Chmerkovskiy will perform a Viennese Waltz to “Until I Found You” by Stephen Sanchez. Ariana Madix and pro Pasha Pashkov will perform a Viennese Waltz to “Happier Than Ever” by Billie Eilish.
Lele Pons and pro Brandon Armstrong will perform a Contemporary to “I’ll Stand By You” by The Pretenders. Charity Lawson and pro Artem Chigvintsev will perform a Contemporary to “Lose You to Love Me” by Selena Gomez. Jason Mraz and pro Daniella Karagach will perform a Quickstep to “On the Road Again” by Willie Nelson.
Harry Jowsey and pro Rylee Arnold will perform a Contemporary to “Keep Your Head Up” by Andy Grammer. Barry Williams and pro Peta Murgatroyd will perform a Paso Doble to “Born to Be Wild” by Steppenwolf. Mauricio Umansky and pro Emma Slater will perform a Contemporary to “Rise Up” by Andra Day.
ABC’s press release confirmed that the next, new, LIVE episode 5 of Dancing With The Stars’ current season 32 is indeed scheduled to show up on your TV screens tonight, October 24, 2023, starting at approximately 7 pm central standard time. Tonight’s new episode will be a 2-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 9 pm central standard time.
