First thing’s first. We’ve got an official title for tonight’s new, October 27, 2023 episode 9 of Dateline NBC season 32. It’s called, “On the Hunt for the Zombie Hunter.”
In tonight’s new, October 27, 2023 episode 9, the Dateline NBC team will take a deep look at a story about two, young, Phoenix, Arizona women that were sadly murdered near a Phoenix canal way, way back in the early 1990s. Their case went ice cold for over a whopping 20 years. However, a new team of cold case detectives recently tried to crack the case with some new, groundbreaking techniques, which included forensic genealogy, and they were able to finally track down the culprit.
Canadian broadcaster Keith Morrison handled the reporting duties for this case and episode. This episode features interviews with: Former Phoenix Police Department Sergeant Troy Hillman, Defense attorney RJ Parker, forensic genealogist Dr. Colleen Fitzpatrick, co-workers of the victims and others.
NBC’s official description for tonight’s new, October 27, 2023 episode 9 of Dateline NBC season 32 reads like this, “The murders of two young women near a Phoenix canal in the early 1990s remain unsolved for over 20 years until a team of cold case detectives take on the case. Friday’s all-new Dateline examines how investigators used inventive techniques and groundbreaking advancements in forensic genealogy to unmask the killer.”
An alternate description tells us,”ALL-NEW DATELINE NBC FRIDAY: KEITH MORRISON REPORTS ON A STRING OF MURDERS ALONG AN ARIZONA CANAL. Features Exclusive Interviews with Insiders Connected to the Case, Including Co-Workers of One of the Victims.”
