First thing’s first. NBC gave us an official title for tonight’s new, December 1, 2023 episode 17 of Dateline NBC season 32. It’s called, “The Day Alissa Disappeared.”
In tonight’s new, December 1, 2023 episode 17, the Dateline NBC team will take a deep look at a story about a 17 year old Phoenix,Arizona female named Alissa Turney. She went missing at some point, and the detectives who worked her case took years to actually consider it a homicide. During a new investigation, some dark family secrets were discovered, and they led to a very dramatic courtroom session and a very startling conclusion that no one would’ve ever expected to see.
Canadian journalist and writer Andrea Canning handled the reporting duties for this episode and case. It features interviews with: Detective William Andersen, Alissa’s brother James Turney, Deputy County Attorney Vince Imbordino and others.
NBC’s official description for tonight’s new, December 1, 2023 episode 17 of Dateline NBC season 32 reads like this, “When 17-year-old Alissa Turney is reported missing in Phoenix, it takes years before detectives treat her case as a homicide.
