The Simpsons December 31, 2023, January 7, 2024 Episode 11 Delayed. Not Airing
Hey, “The Simpsons” fans. Unfortunately, we have a bad news bomb that we have to drop on you in this article. Yeah, it turns out that FOX is not going to air a new episode of The Simpsons tonight, December 31, 2023 and next Sunday night, January 7, 2024.
Wait, it gets a little worse. This delay of episode 11 will actually go on well beyond the January 7, 2024 date. It turns out that the last episode 10 of The Simpsons’ current season 35 was the Fall finale episode. So, according to our sources, FOX doesn’t plan to air the new episode 11 until Sunday night, February 18, 2024. During that time, it’s scheduled to air in its usual, 7 pm central standard time slot. So, certainly try to remember that very important date and time if you can.
In the meantime, we did track down what FOX is serving up instead of a new The Simpsons episode during this long, winter break. According to the TV guide listings, FOX is going to air a repeat episode of The Simpsons tonight. It will be the 2nd episode of this season 35 titled,”A Mid-Childhood Night’s Dream.”
FOX’s official description for this repeat episode 2 of The Simpsons season 35 reads like this, “Marge feels an overwhelming dread of the empty nest.”
Next, Sunday night, January 7, 2024, FOX is going to air the very first episode of a new show they’re introducing titled, “Grimsburg.” This is the pilot episode, and FOX’s official description for it reads like this, “Marvin works to track down a missing teenage girl after her romantic interest is discovered decapitated along the side of the road.”
After the January 7, 2024 date, you guys will need to check your local listings to see what FOX is going to serve up in that vacant, 7 pm central standard time slot on Sunday nights until the February 18, 2024 date arrives.
If any of this alternate line of programming seems enticing to any of you guys, you might still want to hit up CBS tonight and next Sunday night to check it out. If you only want to see brand new episodes of The Simpsons and nothing else, you will definitely want to make some alternate plans for this long delay period.
Spoiler Warning: For those of you who are interested, we did track down an official description for the next, new episode 11 of The Simpsons’ current season 35 via FOX’s official episode 11 press release. It let us know that episode 11 is officially titled, “Frinkenstein’s Monster.”
FOX’s description for episode 11 reads like this, “Homer and Bart become kings of the blue-collar sports circuit, but Marge suspects something dishonest at the core of their father-son bond.”
Again, FOX confirmed that the next, new episode 11 of The Simpsons’ current season 35 is scheduled to finally show up on your TV sets on Sunday night, February 18, 2024 in its usual 7 pm central standard time slot.
