First off, we’ve got an official title for this new episode 3 of Chicago Fire season 12. The writers decided to call this one, “Trapped.” It sounds like episode 3 will feature some very scandalous, intense, dramatic, interesting, possible action-filled and suspenseful scenes as a domestic dispute goes down. A new firefighter arrives. Herrmann takes a new approach and more.
We’ll go ahead and begin this spoiler session with the domestic dispute situation. Yep, it turns out that a very intense-sounding domestic dispute will indeed take place in this episode. In response, we’re going to see an investigation take place by Brett and Violet after deciding they should handle this matter on their own.
NBC’s official description for this domestic dispute investigation plotline tells us, “After witnessing a domestic dispute, Brett and Violet decide to take the investigation into their own hands.”
The second spoiler scoop reveals that a new firefighter will get some new screentime in this episode, but it sounds like this new firefighter will have a pretty intense time as he or she will undergo a vetting process by Mouch.
NBC’s description for this new firefighter, vetting scenario reads like this, “Mouch vets Truck 81’s new firefighter.”
The 3rd and last teaser description for this new episode 3 lets us know that we’ll get some new Herrmann scenes at some point. During them, Herrmann will be seen implementing a new tactic to help him out while on the job.

NBC’s press release confirmed that the next, new episode 3 of Chicago Fire’s current season 12 is indeed scheduled to make its arrival tonight, January 31, 2024, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time. It will be a 1-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 9 pm central standard time.
