For starters, ABC let us know that this new episode 3 of 20/20: Bad Romance season 1 is officially titled, “Shot In The Dark.”
In tonight’s new, February 5, 2024 episode 3, the 20/20: Bad Romance team will take a deep look at story about a Knoxville, Tennessee couple named Emma and Riley. They were high school sweethearts. Riley was a football player while Emma was a cheerleader. However, their relationship started to go south when Emma’s friends and family noticed that Riley started getting overly possessive and tried to control her every move.
After Emma finally decided to break up with Riley, Emma got a text message from an unknown number, which claimed Riley had been kidnapped. Not long after that, Emma was found shot to death in her sleep from outside her house through the walls. This terrible tragedy prompted an intense sting operation to take place, and the killer was tracked down along with some other details.
This episode features interviews with: Emma’s parents, Jill and Mark Walker; friends of Emma and Riley; police detectives; and the defense and prosecuting attorneys in Riley’s trial. It’s hosted by ABC News contributor and ESPN analyst Ryan Smith.

ABC’s press release confirmed that the next, new episode 3 of 20/20: Bad Romance’s current, premiere season 3 is indeed scheduled to hit the air tonight, February 5, 2024, starting at approximately 9 pm central standard time. It will be a 1-hour event. So,expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
