New 48 Hours February 24, 2024 Episode 20 Preview Revealed
Hey, “48 Hours” fans. We’re back with more great news because the CBS people are airing another new episode of 48 Hours tonight, February 24, 2024. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s new episode will be the 20th one for 48 Hours’ current season 37, and we’ve got some new preview information for it.
CBS was kind enough, once again, to serve up an official press release for tonight’s new, February 24, 2024 edition. So, we will certainly break it all down for this preview session. Let’s get to it.
First thing’s first. We’ve got an official title for this new episode 20 of 48 Hours season 37. It’s called, “The People v. Kouri Richins.”
In tonight’s new, February 24, 2024 episode 20, the 48 Hours team will take a deep look at a story about a woman named Kouri Richins. Back on March 4, 2022, she said she found her husband Eric Richins unresponsive in their bed. By the time first responders tried to revive him, it was too late.
The investigators who worked this case eventually determined that the cause of death was an overdose of fentanyl. So, they arrested Kouri Richins and charged her with the murder of her husband just shortly after she wrote a children’s book to help her kids cope with the grief of losing their father.
Prosecutors allege that Kouri gave Eric Richins a lethal dose of fentanyl on the night of his death. Eric’s family suspects she placed the fentanyl in his Moscow mule drink. Kouri claims she’s innocent. Her attorney Skye Lazaro said, “The prosecutors have to prove that she obtained drugs and gave them to her husband … And unless they can connect those dots, they’re gonna have a hard time proving murder in this case.”

CBS’ official description for this new episode 20 of 48 Hours season 37 reads like this, “In the early morning hours of March 4, 2022, Kouri Richins says she found her husband, Eric Richins, unresponsive in their bed. First responders tried to save him, but it was too late for the father of three. Weeks later, police said Richins’ death was caused by an overdose of fentanyl. The grieving widow from Utah was arrested and charged with murder shortly after she wrote a children’s book to help their kids cope with grief. CBS’ press release confirmed that the next, new episode 20 of 48 Hours’ current season 37 is indeed scheduled to make its way to the air tonight, February 24, 2024, starting at approximately 9 pm central standard time. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+.
