Survivor March 13, 2024 Eliminated Randen Montalvo (Recap)
Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, March 13, 2024, another new episode of Survivor’s current season 46 did hit the air. It kicked off with the Yanu tribe, talking about the fake idol that was used by Jess at the last tribal council meeting. They told Bhanu they gave Jess the fake immunity idol, so she wouldn’t play her shot in the dark, and that she also voted for him to go.
Bhanu told the private cams, “I’m worried because Kenzie, Q and Tiffany are all working together, and I’m going home if we don’t win the next immunity challenge.” So, he went searching for a hidden immunity idol. When that didn’t work, he tried to campaign to Kenzie for help in this game, but he couldn’t offer up anything beneficial to her. She told the private cams, “Bhanu is sweet, but he’s not giving me anything to work with.”
Bhanu campaigned to Q, and Q told him, “I want to keep you because you’re loyal and won’t flip flop.” Q told the private cams, “I don’t want Bhanu to give up.” Q tried to give Bhanu a pep talk, but Bhanu was so paranoid because of the plan they pulled at the last tribal council, and he wasn’t sure who he could believe.
At the Siga camp, everyone went searching for an immunity idol, and Jem found the beware advantage, which told her where to dig up the clue. The clue told her she had to get a key to unlock a box containing her immunity idol, and she has no vote at tribal council until she gets the idol.
Venus told the private cams that she wants Hunter out because he has too many links with too many people. She also ran the idea by Randen. He didn’t really see Hunter as being as big of a threat as she did.
Randen ran into issues with his right arm. He had no feeling in it. Medical told him he may have a trapped nerve. It’s hard to tell. Randen was nervous for the next immunity challenge.
After all of that, host Jeff Probst showed up with the new immunity challenge. During it, they had leap into the ocean. Get over a barrel obstacle. Then, get over some other obstacles to get back on land. Once there, they dug up some sandbags. Then, they had to pitch 5 of the sandbags onto a platform without them falling for the win.
Nami finished in first place. Siga finished in 2nd place. So, Yanu lost again for a 3rd consecutive time and had to head back to tribal council to vote another person off.
Since Nami won first place in the immunity challenge, they were in charge of who took the special boat ride trip. They picked Liz from their tribe. Ben from the Siga tribe and Bhanu from the Yanu tribe.
This immunity challenge also doubled as a Reward challenge. So, Nami won a huge tool kit and tarp for finishing in first place. Siga won a smaller tool kit and tarp for finishing in second place.
Tiffany told the private cams that Bhanu was the worst one to go on the boat trip because he can’t keep his mouth shut, and if he gets an advantage, it’ll be tougher to get him out.
While Bhanu was on the boat trip, the whole Yanu tribe started panicking about Bhanu telling Ben and Liz all of their secrets. At the boat trip, Bhanu was indeed seen telling Ben and Liz all of his problems he has with his tribe. He told them everything about how Kenzie, Q and Tiffany are all aligned. He also broke down saying, “This will be my last tribal council meeting.”
They competed in a challenge that involved pulling rocks. Liz pulled a white rock. So, she didn’t have to compete in a cube puzzle that involved risking their vote. Ben and Bhanu had to play it, and they both lost. So, they had no vote at their next tribal council meetings.
Bhanu told his Yanu tribe about how he lost his vote. Kenzie told the private cams that it’s good he lost, so it’s easier to vote him off. Tiffany told the private cams, “Bhanu is gone.” Q told the private cams, “I have a different plan for Bhanu. I want Bhanu to stay, and Kenzie to go home because I can’t control her.”
Tiffany told the private cams, “Kenzie is on my side. So, I don’t see her as a threat.” She told Q, “I still think Bhanu needs to go home.”
At the Nami camp, Jeff and Medical told Randen he might need surgery for a possible bulging disc pressing on his nerve. So, they had to pull Randen out of the game. Everyone was really upset, especially Venus because Randen was the one person she felt she could really trust in this game.
Jeff told the Yanu tribe that their tribal council meeting was canceled since Randen was pulled from the game. They were ecstatic that they were given a second chance, but their hearts did go out to Randen for having to leave.
Ransen told the private cams, “Luckily, it wasn’t a spinal injury. Sometimes, things are out of our control. My hand works again now. So, I’m very thankful.”
