48 Hours August 3, 2024 Episode Not New. It’s A Repeat. Preview Revealed
Hey, “48 Hours” fans. We’re back on here to let you know which repeat episode of 48 Hours that CBS is dishing up tonight, August 3, 2024. Yep, as we previously reported, the new season of 48 Hours is currently scheduled to debut on September 21, 2024. So, we’re getting repeat episodes until then.
We’ve got some new preview information for tonight’s repeat episode via a revised press release from CBS. So, we’re going to dive into it right now. Let’s go.
This repeat episode is titled, “The Poisonous Wife.” It originally aired way, way back on March 12, 2022. In this repeat episode, the 48 Hours team took a deep look at a story about a Missouri snake breeder named Ben Renick.
He was found dead back in 2017, and the investigators who worked this case originally thought he might have died by a snake attack from one of his snakes. However, upon further investigation, they started thinking Ben’s wife might have been the murdering culprit. Peter Van Sant handled the reporting duties for this episode and case.
CBS’ official description for tonight’s repeat episode of 48 Hours reads like this, “In the moments after snake breeder Ben Renick was found dead, investigators thought he might have been the victim of an attack by one of his prized reptiles. But he wasn’t. It was worse, much worse. Peter Van Sant and 48 HOURS investigate Renick’s death and the trail that led to a person in his life who was more dangerous and more slippery than any reptile in his care, in an encore of “The Poisonous Wife.”
On a hot day in June 2017, Lynlee Renick called 911 to say her husband was face down in a pool of blood. She said she found him in his snake facility, home to more than 3,000 reptiles, some worth thousands of dollars. Ben Renick was shot multiple times. But by whom?”
Again, CBS’ press release confirmed that 48 Hours is hitting the air with another repeat episode again tonight, August 3, 2024 in the 9 pm central standard time slot. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+. It’ll be a 1-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
