Bachelorette August 27, 2024 Eliminated Jonathon. Plus New Bachelor 2025 Revealed
Hey, Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, August 27, 2024, another new episode of The Bachelorette 2024 edition with headliner Jenn Tran hit the air. This one was the Men Tell All installment, but it also featured some new date footage to wrap up the overnight dates episode that was left incomplete last night.
Tonight’s new episode kicked off with footage of one of Jenn’s eliminated guys Grant Ellis telling his family that he has been selected to be the new Bachelor headliner for the upcoming 2025 season. Next, host Jesse Palmer introduced Jenn’s other eliminated guys: Ricky, Ryan, Hakeem, Brett, John, Jeremy, Thomas N, Tomas A, Dylan, Aaron, Sam M, Spencer and Sam N to the LIVE stage.
After that, they showed the continuation of last night’s overnight dates footage. Devin was on his way to talk with Jenn. When he got there, he told Jenn, “I’ve cherished everything we’ve been through, but I’m doubting where your head is right now. I feel like I’m just the safe option for you. I feel like I’m wanted here, but not needed here. The proposal is next week, and I still don’t know where your head is at, and that scares the sh*^t out of me.”
Jenn told Dylan, “I don’t know how to be in a healthy relationship. You’ve fought so much for us, and I don’t know what I would do if you weren’t here. Devin, I do love you.” Devin said, “I love you.” She said, “I love you again,” and they kissed. Devin told the private cams, “I think I have what I need to keep going.”
Next, they showed footage of the rose ceremony for the overnight dates. Jenn gave Devin and Marcus a rose. That meant poor Jonathon didn’t get a rose. So, he was eliminated. Jenn walked him out. Jonathon told her, “I moved too slow and that’s my fault. I took too long to realize how incredible you are. I think you were perfect for me, and I wasn’t perfect for you, and that’s a hard pill to swallow.”
Jenn said, “You’ve taught me a lot too, and I appreciate that.” Jonathon said, “You have two great guys back there ,and you deserve it.” Jenn said,”Thank you for everything,” and they hugged goodbye.
Jonathon told the exit car private cams, “I’m just mad at myself. I could’ve done better. I feel like the biggest idiot in the world. I couldn’t see how good Jenn was until it was too late. I’m just tired of getting in my own way.” After that, Jonathon immediately joined all the other guys up on the LIVE, Men Tell All stage.
Then, they watched footage back of this season. Aaron got confronted about some words he said about the guys during this season. Sam N talked about how he told Jenn he was in love with her way too soon. He said, “I shot my shot and missed horribly.” Sam M said he wished his delivery was a lot better, but he was all in for Jenn.
Host Jesse Palmer pulled Sam M into the hot seat to look back at his time on the show this season.
Then, Sam answered some questions. He said he meant no disrespect to Jenn when he said she was kind of dull the night she sent him home. He said,”I can only try to learn and correct all the mistakes I made.” Some of the guys congratulated him on trying to learn from his mistakes.
Next, Jesse pulled Jonathon into the hot seat. They watched his season footage. Jonathon said, “I missed out on something incredible. Jess and I started out as friends, and that was what I wanted . I think it got to a point where she was in love with Devin and Marcus, and I was behind.” Host Jesse gave Jonathon the first invite to the next, new season of Bachelor In Paradise next summer.
Next, Jesse talked with new 2025 Bachelor headliner Grant Ellis. He said of being the new headliner, “It feels great. I’m so excited. I’m just happy and grateful.” They took a look at his season with Jenn. He said, “I really appreciated Jenn’s ability to interact with me, and we related about family.
I wear my emotions on my sleeve, and I’m going to take that with me into the new season. I’m looking for a kind soul. Someone who’s genuine. Someone who will treat other people well.” Hakeem and Jonathon said they were very happy for Grant.
Next, The current Bachelorette headliner herself, Jenn Tran came out to talk with Jesse. She said, “I enjoyed this experience with all of you, and I wouldn’t change anything for the world.” Jonathon told her, “I want to thank you for helping me get to a place of opening up. I’m so happy to have met you.” Jenn said, “I’m happy to have crossed paths with you.”
Sam N told Jenn, “I’m glad to have had Jenn as my first girlfriend.” Jenn said, “I was happy to be apart of your growth journey.” Jenn told Thomas N she was disappointed that he didn’t pull her aside and pulled Devin aside instead during one of the cocktail party events. Thomas N said he also regretted doing that. Jenn said she thinks Sam M really didn’t know her that much at all. She also said she didn’t like how he interacted with all the other guys when she watched the season back.
She went on to say Sam M blamed the edit, production and everyone except himself. “If you don’t learn from this, I feel sorry for whoever you end up with,” she said. Sam M said, “I do wish I could go back and change things, and I want to say, ‘thank you.'” Jenn said, “I really hope you mean that and will learn from this.” Grant said, “I learned to stay true to myself from Jenn. I’m also happy for you.” Jenn said, “I’m happy for you too. You deserve it. I’m so excited for you.”
Former Bachelorette headliner Charity Lawson and her guy Dotun were spotted in the crowd. Charity old Jenn, “I think you’re crushing it. You’re doing a great job. I’m so happy for you.” Charity also said her and Dotun are still going strong. Then, host Jesse said ABC is giving Charity and Dotun another trip to Greece! So, they were very happy about that.
Next, they showed bloopers. At one point, Hakeem let the world’s largest spider sit on him after they watched a moment of his season where he let a spider crawl on him for Jenn. Then, host Jesse gave Hakeem the second invite to Bachelor In Paradise’s next, new season. And that was a wrap for tonight’s new episode.
