New 48 Hours September 14 Episode Not Airing Tonight. It’s Preempted
Hey, “48 Hours” fans. Unfortunately, we’ve got some bad news for you in this article because due to some other TV obligations, the CBS folks are not airing a new episode of 48 Hours tonight, September 14, 2024. However, on a much brighter note, we do want to remind you that the new season 38 is scheduled to start up next Saturday night, September 21, 2024. That means there will be more brand new episodes for you guys for a very long time. At least about 9 months worth. So, definitely get ready for all of that goodness.
We’ll be back on here with a preview of next week’s new season 38 episode as soon as CBS releases their official press release for it sometime this week. So, be on the lookout for it.
In the meantime, we did find out what CBS is airing instead of a new 48 Hours episode tonight. According to the TV guide listings, CBS has cleared out their entire primetime schedule to provide LIVE coverage of a college football game that features the Colorado Buffaloes vs. the Colorado State Rams.
CBS’ official description for their LIVE coverage of the college football game reads like this, “College Football. Colorado at Colorado State Live. Bitter rivals in the Buffaloes and Rams lock horns for the 93rd time in the Rocky Mountain Showdown. The teams are each 1-1 with the victories over FCS schools. Colorado leads the series 68-22-2 after a wild 43-35 victory in overtime last season.”
If any of you guys happen to also be college football fans, you might still want to flip on CBS tonight to catch this game. If you only want to see brand new episodes of 48 Hours, you will certainly want to make some alternate plans for tonight and check back next Saturday night.
Again, TV Guide confirmed that CBS is not airing a 48 Hours episode tonight, September 14, 2024, due to LIVE coverage of a college football game, but the new season 38 is starting up next Saturday night, September 21, 2024.
