New All American Homecoming Season 4 Not Happening. The CW Canceled It
Hey, “All American: Homecoming” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed and savored every friggin minute of tonight’s episode 13, especially since we have to tell you that it will be the absolute last, new episode of All american: Homecoming that you’ll ever see.
That’s right, guys. It was revealed that The CW canceled the show back in June 2024 according to the folks over at Deadline.com. During the cancellation, All American: Homecoming’s showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll revealed that she was devastated by the cancellation, but also grateful for the opportunity stating, “I’m devastated to learn that All American: Homecoming will not be moving forward with more episodes and that this new season premiering in July will be our final one.
However, I am so very grateful to have worked with this incredible cast and crew, led by Geffri Maya, to bring the authentic HBCU experience to your screens for the last three seasons. We made this show for the culture and thank our loyal audience and fans for taking this ride with us.
We made this show so that our community, our kids (and their dreams), could be seen and celebrated every week and we are proud to say we accomplished that mission… Especially with this exciting final season which we can’t wait to show you all. So with a heavy but proud heart, I give one final shoutout to our favorite Bringston Lions!”
The CW also made a positive statement about the show stating, “We want to thank the cast, crew, producers, NK, Marqui and everybody at Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television for their hard work and dedication in telling these important stories for three incredible seasons. The upcoming final season is the best yet and we cannot wait to share it with fans beginning on Monday, July 8.”
According to LIVE Neilsen ratings, All American: Homecoming season 3 averaged 279,000 LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.05 ratings core for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 12, which aired last Monday night, September 23, 2024, managed to draw in 275,000 LIVE viewers, and a 0.04 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was episode 3 with 322,000 LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 9 with 214,000 LIVE viewers. The highest-rated episode was episode 5 with a 0.07 ratings score. The lowest-rated episodes were episodes 10 and 11. They were both tied for last place with a 0.03 ratings score.
