New 60 Minutes October 7 Episode Preview Reveals Presidential Election Talk And More
Hey, “60 Minutes” fans. We’re back in your faces to let you know that another new edition of 60 Minutes is hitting the air tonight, October 7, 2024. As we previously reported, the reason why 60 minutes is airing on a Monday is because CBS had to bump it out of their Sunday, primetime line up last night due to some other TV obligations. Tonight’s new episode will be the 4th one for this current season 57, and we’ve got some new preview intel for it.
We were able to get a hold of a new, official press release for this new episode 4 straight from the CBS people. So, we will certainly dig into it for this preview session. Let’s dive into it.
Tonight’s new episode 4 is going to be a Primetime Election Special, and it will feature three segments. The first segment is titled, “THE 2024 PRESIDENTIAL TICKET.” CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “Bill Whitaker joins the Democratic ticket on the campaign trail for in-depth interviews with Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov.
Tim Walz to gain insight into their platform’s priorities and values, and what the candidates believe voters should know. This is a double-length segment. Marc Lieberman and Rome Hartman are the producers. Scott Pelley addresses why the Republican ticket of former President Donald Trump and Sen. JD Vance will not be participating in a 60 MINUTES interview for this election special.”
The second segment is titled, “BELIEF IN THE BALLOT.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “Scott Pelley travels to Arizona’s Maricopa County, home to more than 60% of Arizona’s voters and a critical battleground in a key swing state, to speak with the county’s election leadership and hear from their critics as the election approaches. Aaron Weisz and Ian Flickinger are the producers.”
The 3rd and final segment for tonight’s new episode 4 is titled, “THE LAST MINUTE” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “Whoever wins the presidential race in November will inherit an expanding Middle East conflict. On the one-year anniversary of Hamas’ terror attack on Israel, Lesley Stahl reflects on the aftermath, the consequences to the region and what it may mean for a new administration.”
Again, CBS’ press release confirmed that the next, new episode 4 of 60 Minutes’ current season 57 is indeed scheduled to hit the air tonight, October 7, 2024 in the 7 pm central standard time slot.
