New The Summit Season 2 Still In Question. CBS Hasn’t Renewed It Yet

Hey, “The Summit” fans. We totally hope you guys enjoyed and savored every friggin minute of tonight’s episode 10, especially since it was indeed the very last episode of this current, premiere season 1. It could also very well be the last episode of it forever because we don’t currently have an official, season 2 renewal announcement from the CBS people for it.

That’s right, guys. CBS has yet to renew The Summit for a brand new season 2. So, it is very likely that you may never see another new episode of it again. If CBS does renew it for a new season 2, it could certainly be quite a ways off before it actually hits the air. Either way, tonight’s episode 10 is going to be it for quite a while.

Since we don’t have any official announcements from CBS for the future of The Summit ,right now, we’re going to take a look at its viewership and ratings numbers that it delivered for CBS, and see if we can come up with an educated guess as to what CBS might do with this show.

According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, The Summit season 1 averaged 2.057 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.24 rating score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 9, which aired last Wednesday night, November 27, 2024, managed to draw in 2.041 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.26 ratings score.

The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 3.033 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 3 with 1.823 million LIVE viewers.

The highest-rated episode was the premiere episode 1 with a 0.32 ratings score. The Lowest-rated episode was episode 5 with a 0.19 ratings score.

The numbers held pretty steady in that 2 million LIVE viewer range. We’ve seen other reality shows with these kind of numbers get canceled by CBS in the past. So, unless the show is crazy cheap to produce, we wouldn’t be surprised if CBS axed this show.

At the very least, we can certainly see why CBS hasn’t jumped on the bandwagon to renew it early. Definitely, cross your fingers really hard for this one, guys. It’s going to need all the luck it can get to make it through a CBS cut.

Alright, guys. That is a wrap for this latest, “The Summit” TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
