Hey, “Elsbeth” fans. We’re back in action with another new spoiler session for your favorite CBS crime/drama series. In this one, we’re going to take a look at what is going down in the next, new episode 8 of this current season 2, which is due to hit your TV screens tonight, December 19, 2024.
We were able to gather up two, new, official teaser descriptions for this new episode 8 via CBS’ official episode 8 press release synopsis. So, we’re going to pull it up for this spoiler session. Let’s get into it.
First thing’s first. We’ve got an official title for this new episode 8. The writers decided to name this one, “Toil and Troble.” It sounds like episode 8 will feature some very scandalous, intense, dramatic, interesting, possible action-filled and emotional scenes as a murder happens on the set of a TV show. Elsbeth continues to run into issues with a certain someone and more.
The first spoiler scoop reveals that the showrunner of a long-running police procedural TV show will brutally lose his life to a killer right in his own office! Initially, this awful crime will appear to be committed by a disgruntled fan.
However, when Elsbeth gets thrown on the case, she’s going to start thinking that the show’s longtime star Reigina Coburn might be the murdering culprit.
CBS’ official description for this TV show murder scandal plotline reads like this, “Elsbeth is thrown into the world of television after the showrunner of a long-running police procedural is brutally murdered in his office, and although it appears to be the act of a disgruntled fan, she begins to suspect the show’s longtime star Regina Coburn (Laurie Metcalf), who yearns for artistic fulfillment.”
An alternate description tells us, “ELSBETH IS THROWN INTO THE WORLD OF PROCEDURAL TELEVISION AFTER A PROLIFIC PRODUCER IS BRUTALLY MURDERED IN HIS OFFICE.”
The second and last teaser description for this new episode 8 lets us know that Elsbeth will continue to face some issues as she continues to catch some thorny heat from Judge Crawford.
CBS’ description for Elsbeth continuing to face issues with Judge Crawford reads like this, “Judge Crawford (Michael Emerson) continues to be a thorn in Elsbeth’s side.”
Episode 8 will feature a couple of guest stars. They are: Four-Time Emmy Award and Two-Time Tony Award Winner Laurie Metcalf as character TV Star Regina Coburn, and Michael Emerson as character Judge Milton Crawford. Episode 8 was written by Matthew K. Begbie, and it was directed by Darren Grant.
Again, CBS’ press release confirmed that the next, new episode 8 of Elsbeth’s current season 2 is indeed scheduled to hit the air tonight, December 19,2024 in the 9 pm central standard time slot.
It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs).
