New Brilliant Minds Season 2 Is Still In Question. NBC Hasn’t Renewed It Yet
Hey, “Brilliant Minds” fans. We totally hope you enjoyed tonight’s episodes 12 and 13, especially since they were indeed the finale episodes of this current, premiere season 1. That means that at the very least, it will be a very long time before you get to see another new episode if ever.
Yep, unfortunately, we cannot confirm with you at this time if the show will return for a brand new season 2 because the NBC people haven’t announced their future plans for the show yet.
Since we don’t have an official announcement from the NBC people on whether or not they plan to keep the show, we’re going to take a look at the LIVE ratings and viewership numbers that season 1 was able to deliver for NBC and see if we can come up with some sort of educated guess as to what NBC might do.
According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, Brilliant Minds current season 1 averaged 3.020 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.24 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 11, which aired on Monday night, December 9, 2024, managed to draw in 2.520 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.20 ratings score.
The most viewed episode is the very first, premiere episode 1 with 3.921 million LIVE viewers. The least viewed episode was episode 11 with the 2.520 million LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episodes are episodes 1 and 5. They both tied for first place with a 0.29 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 8 with a 0.17 ratings score.
Based on those numbers, we could see NBC renewing Brilliant Minds for a new season 2. It’ll all come down to how much it actually costs NBC to buy this show. If it costs too much, they won’t be able to make money on it. Then, that would warrant a cancellation and so on and so forth. So, we’ll see. You’ll definitely want to cross your fingers for this one, guys.

Brilliant Minds is absolutely Brilliant The intensity, sophistication, complex themes and outstanding acting is superb. I don’t watch much television. I hate crashes, explosions and
simple plots that are obvious within the first ten minutes of a show. The everyday acceptance of diverse sexuality, biracial relations and plot twists are phenomenal. Please NBC, don’t let this one slip away. We need adult entertainment.
