The Amazing Race March 5 Season 37 Premiere Episode To Feature A Double Elimination
CBS is confirmed to air the very first, premiere episode 1 of The Amazing Race’s new season 37 tonight, March 5, 2025, and it will feature two teams already getting eliminated by the time it wraps up, and more.
CBS put out an official press release for this new, premiere episode 1, and it’s telling us that this episode is officially labeled/titled, “Double the Stakes, Double the Eliminations.”
The preview information is telling us that this new season is going to feature 14 teams, which is apparently the largest amount of teams the show has ever had.
The teams will kick this season off over in Hong Kong, and they will get hit with their first surprise twist, which is an inaugural Fork in the road. It will force them to pick which direction and route they want to take to get to the Pit stop, and that will actually create two parallel races that ultimately causes two teams to get eliminated.
CBS’ official description for this new episode 1 of The Amazing Race season 37 reads like this, “Host Phil Keoghan sends 14 teams, the largest cast ever, on the journey of a lifetime.
At the first destination, Hong Kong, teams encounter their first surprise twist of the season when they confront the inaugural Fork in the Road, forcing them to choose which direction and route they want to take to the Pit Stop, creating two parallel races where two teams will be eliminated on the 37th season premiere of THE AMAZING RACE.”
An alternate description reads like this,”THE LARGEST CAST EVER EMBARKS ON THE JOURNEY OF A LIFETIME AND ENCOUNTERS A NEW TWIST IN HONG KONG ON THE 37TH SEASON PREMIERE OF “THE AMAZING RACE,” WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5.”
Again, CBS’ press release confirmed that the new, premiere episode 1 of The Amazing Race’s new season 37 is scheduled to hit the air tonight, March 5, 2025 in the 8:30 pm central standard time slot.
It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs). This episode will be a 90-minute event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
