New 48 Hours March 8 Episode To Feature An Abandon Farmhouse Murder Scandal
CBS is confirmed to air another new episode of 48 Hours tonight, March 8, 2025, and it will feature a terrible murder scandal that involves a body being left at an abandoned farmhouse and more. This episode is the 21st installment for this current season 37.
CBS’ official episode 21 press release information is telling us that this new episode is officially labeled/titled, “Cati Blauvelt: Death of a Soldier’s Wife.”
The preview information is telling us that the 48 Hours team is going to take a deep look at a story about a Simpsonville, South Carolina woman named Cati Blauvelt. She was 22 years old when her dead body was found in an abandoned farmhouse back on October 26, 2016.
Her friends immediately suspected her estranged husband John Blauvelt of being the culprit behind her death.
Correspondent Peter Van Sant handled the reporting duties for this episode and case. It features interviews with: William Cook and Chris Tamayo, United States Marshals Service, Investigators Keith Morecraft and Cheryl Schofield, and Cati Blauvelt’s friend Aly Somerville.
CBS’ official description for this new episode 21 of 48 Hours season 37 reads like this, “The body of 22-year-old Cati Blauvelt was discovered in an abandoned farmhouse in Simpsonville, S.C., on Oct. 26, 2016.
Almost immediately, her friends had one suspect in mind, John Blauvelt, Cati Blauvelt’s estranged husband and a once-respected army recruiter. Their brief marriage had ended in turmoil, with Cati Blauvelt filing a domestic violence report against him.
As police investigated, another name entered the picture, 17-year-old Hannah Thompson, who had moved in with John Blauvelt as his marriage unraveled. With no hard evidence to hold him, authorities were powerless to stop what happened next. Declared armed and dangerous, John Blauvelt vanished into the night, taking Thompson with him … and then the manhunt began.”
An alternate description reads like this,”A SOLDIER ON THE RUN AFTER HIS WIFE IS MURDERED – DOES HIS NEW GIRLFRIEND HOLD THE ANSWERS?”
Again, CBS’ press release confirmed that the next, new episode 21 of 48 Hours’ current season 37 is scheduled to make its way to the air tonight, March 8, 2025 in the 9 pm central standard time slot.
