New 20/20 March 21 Episode To Feature A Minister’s Wife Murder Scandal
ABC is confirmed to air another new episode of their hit news show 20/20 tonight, March 21, 2025, and it will feature the 20/20 team taking a deep look at a murder scandal of a Texas minister’s wife and more. This episode is the 22nd one for this current season 47.
ABC’s official episode 22 press release information is telling us that this episode is officially labeled/titled, “Dirty Little Secret.”
The preview information for this episode is telling us that the 20/20 team is going to take a deep look at a story about a Hewitt, Texas man named Matt Baker. He was a charismatic minister who was married to a woman named Kari.
They appeared to have a very happy life. They also had two young daughters. However, Kari turned up dead one day, and it caused Matt’s carefully crafted facade to start to crumble.
Kari’s death was ruled a suicide at first, but her family was convinced foul play was involved. So, they hired a private investigator to take a deeper look at this case.
ABC News correspondent John Quinones handled the reporting duties for this episode and case. It features interviews with: Linda Dulin, Kari’s mother, as well as Kari’s aunts Kay Bailey and Nancy Lanham and Nancy’s daughter Lindsey Pick, who call themselves the “Charlie’s Angels” of Waco due to their detective work on the case.
Quiñones interviews investigator Abdon Rodriguez and former Texas Ranger Matt Cawthon, who was instrumental in getting Kari’s body exhumed and autopsied in the hope of finally learning what really happened to her.
It also features never-before-broadcast emails between Matt and Kari that reveal new details about their marriage.
ABC’s official description for this new episode 22 of 20/20 season 47 reads like this, “Matt Baker was a charismatic minister of a small church in Hewitt, Texas, just outside Waco. To his congregation, it looked like he had it all.
Married to Kari, a Sunday school teacher, the couple seemed to have a happy and loving marriage and two young daughters, but when Kari was found dead, the carefully crafted facade Matt created soon started to unravel. ABC News correspondent John Quiñones reports in an all-new episode of “20/20.”
An alternate description reads like this, “THE WIFE OF A TEXAS MINISTER IS FOUND DEAD AND HER FAMILY SEARCH FOR ANSWERS ON AN ALL-NEW ’20/20.’ When the wife of a Texas minister is found dead, police rule it suicide.

Again, ABC’s press release confirmed that another new episode of 20/20 is scheduled to make its way to your TV screens tonight, March 21, 2025 in the 8 pm central standard time slot.
