New Rescue HI Surf Season 2 Still In Question. FOX Hasn’t Renewed It Yet

According to a couple of our sources, the people over at FOX have yet to announce whether or not they plan to renew their new drama series Rescue: HI-Surf for a brand new season 2 as of this writing.

That means tonight’s episode 19 may well be the very last episode ever. We’ll have to wait until we get an official announcement from FOX, which could arrive by the end of May 2025. The announcement could happen sooner, but in general, most of the renewal announcements are made by the end of May.

Since we don’t have an official season 2 renewal announcement from FOX, we’re going to take a look at how Rescue: HI-Surf performed for the network during its first season via the LIVE Nielsen ratings.

According to them, Rescue: HI-Surf season 1 averaged 1.865 million LIVE viewers per episode along with a 0.23 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 18, which aired last Monday night, March 24, 2025, managed to draw in 1.210 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.15 ratings score.

The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 4.772 million LIVE viewers. The lowest-viewed episode was episode 18 with the 1.210 million LIVE viewers.

The highest-rated episode was the premiere episode 1 with a 1.11 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 8 with a 0.14 ratings score. Based on those numbers, the show kept gradually losing viewers as the season continued. Needless to say, that’s not good. I mean it looked really promising at first, but then, the numbers just quickly dwindled.

It lost well over half its audience since the premiere episode over a span of 19 episodes. Also, where it ended up at with just 1.210 million LIVE viewers is pretty low for FOX standards I would say.

With that said, anything is possible. FOX could find a reason to renew it, but we’re not surprised that they haven’t given it a renewal yet, and we would not be surprised if they never decide to renew it.

That is all we’ve got for this latest, “Rescue: HI-Surf” TV show report, but definitely stay tuned for more.
