New 20/20 Bad Romance April 1 Episode To Feature A Vicious Beating Death Scandal
ABC is scheduled to deliver up another new episode of their 20/20 series titled, “Bad Romance” tonight, April 1, 2025, and it will feature the 20/20 team taking a look at a story about a woman brutally beaten to death in her home and more. This episode is the second one for this current season 2.
ABC’s official episode 2 press release information is telling us that this episode is officially titled, “Web of Lies.”
The preview information reveals that the 20/20 Bad Romance team will take a deep look at a story about a Springfield, Illinois couple named Mark and Donnah Winger. Things seemed great for them, and they had just adopted a baby girl. However, a few months after the adoption, Donnah was found viciously killed in their house.
Mark told the cops that he actually walked in on the crime while it was being committed. So, in self-defense, he killed the man he claims killed Donnah. ABC News’ Matt Gutman handled the reporting duties for this episode and case.

What began as a family dream for Mark and Donnah Winger, a young couple from Springfield, Illinois, soon unraveled into an unthinkable nightmare when, just months after the couple adopted a baby girl, Donnah was found brutally murdered in their home.
Mark told authorities he walked in on a terrifying scene: a man – a driver who had once taken Donnah and their baby home from the airport – beating his wife to death. Acting, he says, in her defense, Mark killed the man, and many called him a hero.
