The Amazing Race April 2 Eliminated Scott & Lori (Recap)
Earlier tonight, April 2, 2025, CBS aired another new episode of The Amazing Race’s current season 37, and we did see another unlucky team get eliminated at the end of it.
Tonight’s new episode kicked off with the remaining teams, learning they had to go to the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary to kick off this leg of the race. When they got there, host Phil Keoghen told them that there was a Double U-Turn vote in play. The Double U-turn recipients had to complete both detour challenges instead of just one to complete this leg of the race.
The top two vote-getters received the dreaded Double U-Turn curse. The teams voted, and Scott & Lori and Jonathan & Ana were the unlucky teams to get hit with the dreaded Double U-Turn. So, again, they had to complete both detour challenges in order to complete this leg of the race.
Next, all the teams got their next clue, which directed them to go to the Pantai Pandawa. When they got there, the were hit with their Detour challenges. The teams that didn’t get hit with the Double U-Turn, got to choose to do either the “Coconuts” or “Coral” detour.
In the “Coconuts” detour, the teams had to use a bike to deliver 60 coconuts to a beach cafe to get their next clue. In the “Coral” detour, the teams had to attach five species of coral onto a frame and then plant it on the ocean floor to get their next clue.
After the teams successfully completed their detour challenges, they were directed to go to Nusa Dua Beach. When they got there, they were hit with a Roadblock challenge. During it, one team member had to swim out into the water with a surfboard and find a surfer with an identical sticker on their surfboard to get their next clue.
After the teams successfully completed the Roadblock challenge, they were told to go on foot to the Taksu Art Stage, which was the pit stop for this leg of the race.
Brett & Mark made it to the Pit Stop first and won $5,000 dollars each. Carson & Jack came in second place. Alyssa & Josiah took 3rd place. Pops & Jeff finished in the 4th spot. Han & Holden arrived in 5th place.
Melinda & Erika took 6th place. Nick & Mike finished in 7th place. Jonathan & Ana claimed the very important 8 spot to just narrowly avoid elimination. That means poor Scott & Lori finished last, and they were eliminated. They were victims of the Double U-Turn. So, it definitely got them.
