New Dateline NBC April 4 Episode To Feature A Family Fish Fry Death Scandal
NBC is confirmed to deliver another new episode of Dateline NBC tonight, April 4, 2025, and it will feature a look at story about two deaths that happened just before a family fish fry event and more. This episode is the 27th one for this current season 33.
According to NBC’s official episode 27 press release information, this episode is officially labeled/titled, “Deadly Obsession.”
The preview information from NBC’s press release is telling us that the Dateline NBC team is going to take a deep look at a story about a Topeka, Kansas couple named Mike Sisco and Karen Harkness. They were found dead by their parents just before their family was going to serve up a fish fry event back in 2002.
It took forever for the investigators to find evidence. This case has had three criminal trials over the span of two decades.
Andrea Canning handled the reporting duties for this episode and case. It features interviews with: Mike Sisco’s mother Carol Sisco, daughter Hailey Seel, sister Cathy Boots and brother-in-law Mark Boots; Karen Harkness’ daughter Erin Harkness Sutton and son Chad Harkness; Fmr. Topeka police Sgt. Richard Volle; Shawnee County District Attorney Mike Kagay, and others.
NBC’s official description for this new episode 27 of Dateline NBC season 33 reads like this, “Kansas couple Mike Sisco and Karen Harkness are found dead by their parents before a family fish fry in 2002. A years-long search for evidence and three criminal trials over two decades reveal strained dynamics within one victim’s family.”
An alternate description reads like this, “ALL-NEW “DATELINE NBC” ON THE DOUBLE MURDER OF A KANSAS COUPLE.”
Again, NBC’s press release confirmed that another new episode of Dateline NBC’s current season 33 is scheduled to hit the air tonight, April 4, 2025 in the 8 pm central standard time slot. It will be a 2-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
