New 48 Hours April 5 Episode Delayed, Preempted. Not Airing Tonight
It’s officially confirmed that CBS is not going to air a new episode of 48 Hours tonight, April 5, 2025, due to some other TV obligations that they have agreed to fulfill. On a much brighter note, the TV Guide people are telling us that CBS is scheduled to air another new episode of 48 Hours next Saturday night, April 12, 2025. So, be on the lookout for another new 48 Hours episode to pop up next week.
TV Guide is also reporting why CBS is not airing a new 48 Hours episode tonight. It’s because they will be providing LIVE, semifinal coverage of the 2025 NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournament.
CBS’ official description for their LIVE coverage of the basketball tournament tonight reads like this, “NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Houston vs. Duke. Houston (34-4) vs. Duke (35-3) in a Final Four national semifinal. From the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
Kelvin Sampson’s gritty, veteran Cougars of the Big 12 try to slay ACC giant Duke, which is fueled by freshmen Cooper Flagg, Khaman Maluach and Kon Knueppel. Houston is paced by guard L.J. Cryer (a member of 2021 champion Baylor) in seeking its first title-game berth in 41 years. This is the Blue Devils’ first Final Four under Jon Scheyer, whose predecessor Coach K was 9-4 in this round.”
If any of you guys are also college basketball fans, you might still want to tune into CBS tonight to check out their LIVE coverage. If that is not the case, and you just want to watch a new 48 Hours episode, you will certainly want to make some alternate plans for tonight and check back next Saturday night.
Again, it’s been officially confirmed by TV Guide that 48 Hours is not airing tonight, April 5, 2025, but it is scheduled to air next Saturday night, April 12, 2025.
