New 60 Minutes April 6 Episode To Feature Gaza War, Trump Prisoners And More
CBS is confirmed to air another new episode of their hit news show 60 Minutes tonight, April 6, 2025, and it will feature segments about the war over in Gaza, some prisoners of the Trump administration and more. This episode is the 25th installment of this current season 57.
According to CBS’ official press release information, the 60 Minutes team will present a total of three, new segments in this episode.
The first segment is titled, “THE WAR IN GAZA.” CBS’ official description for it reads like this, “Correspondent Scott Pelley reports on an American doctor who volunteers in Gaza, and from Doha where medical teams work to rehabilitate children injured in the war. Nicole Young is the producer.”
The second segment is titled, “THE PRISONERS.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “Who are the men President Trump sent to a notorious maximum-security prison in El Salvador using a wartime law dating back to 1798? The Trump administration says they are all violent gang members and terrorists.
But after obtaining internal government documents, 60 MINUTES could find no criminal records for most of the prisoners. Correspondent Cecilia Vega reports. Andy Court, Annabelle Hanflig and Camilo Montoya-Galvez are the producers.”
The 3rd and final segment for this new episode 25 is titled, “WOOD TO WHISKEY.” CBS’ description for it reads like this, “With a history spanning two thousand years and still playing a vital role in global commerce, the oak barrel, as correspondent Bill Whitaker discovers, is much more than just a container.
Barrels are a vital ingredient, especially in the production of Bourbon whiskey – giving it all of its distinctive color and much of its taste. Whitaker takes us inside the largest maker of wooden barrels to glimpse the magic and mystique of this essential tradition. Rome Hartman is the producer.”
Again, CBS’ press release confirmed that the next, new episode 25 of 60 Minutes’ current season 57 is scheduled to hit the air tonight, April 6, 2025 in the 6 pm central standard time slot.
