New The Hunting Party Season 2 Still In Question. NBC Hasn’t Renewed It Yet
According to numerous sources, NBC has not yet made any official announcements about whether or not they will renew The Hunting Party for a brand new season 2. So, as of right now, episode 10 could quite very well have been the very last episode forever.
Since there are no official details for a new season 2 right now, we’re going to take a look at how the show performed for NBC according to the LIVE Nielsen ratings to see if we can’t make some sort of educated guess as to what NBC might possibly do.
According to the LIVE Nielsen ratings, The Hunting Party season 1 averaged 2.774 million LIVE viewers per episode along with a 0.22 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 9, which aired last Monday night, March 31, 2025, managed to draw in 2.206 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.13 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was episode 3 with 3.116 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 9 with 2.206 million LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was the premiere episode 1 with a 0.46 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 9 with a 0.13 ratings score. Again, these numbers are for LIVE airings only. These numbers don’t include viewers on the streaming platforms. The numbers are probably at least double or triple those numbers after the streaming numbers get tallied up.
Based on those numbers, I think it could really go either way. They’re not horrible numbers, but they’re not spectacular numbers either. We’re not surprised that NBC is still contemplating it.
Obviously, it will come down to what it always comes down to, which is how much money is NBC making from the show and do they have any other shows that could possibly make more money for them in that same time slot. That’s a question that only the head honchos over at NBC can answer. So, we’ll definitely have to wait and see.
Again, the numbers weren’t terrible. So, it does have a pretty decent shot at getting a season 2 renewal in my opinion. Cross your fingers.
