X Men 97 New Season 3 Is Happening. Disney Plus Renewed It

Today, August 12, 2026, Disney Plus released the next, new episode 9 of X-Men ’97’s current season 2 onto their streaming platform, and it was the season finale episode. So, we did go to check if Disney Plus renewed it for a brand new season 3, and it turns out that they surely did.

You guys can definitely look forward to another round of new episodes to appear for this series at some point in the future. According to the folks over at Deadline , this season 3 renewal news was actually announced way back in October of 2025. So, Disney Plus definitely didn’t have any doubts in the show.

Deadline is telling us that the season 3 renewal announcement was made during the Marvel Television and Marvel Animation’s panel that took place at the New York Comic Con event. Here’s some extra good news for you.

We’re also hearing from the people over at Collider and their sources that Disney Plus has also renewed the show for a new season 4! So, at the end of season 3. Whenever that is, there will be no wondering if there will be a new season 4. It’s already a wrap.

They also mentioned that season 3 is currently scheduled to show up sometime on 2027, and season 4 is scheduled to arrive sometime in 2028. No exact date was given at this time. So, we’ll have to wait for that. We’ll also have to wait for the episode count as that was not mentioned either.
