‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Is Bringing On A New Male For A Fulltime Role
Happy Sunday, “Bold And The Beautiful” fans. We’ve got some more pretty interesting news for you guys today in regards to the latest casting for your favorite soap opera. It turns out that the producers have just recently added a new, fulltime male character to the mix. I kind of have a feeling that a lot of you might not like this one though. It’s because it has to do with the new girl Zoe.
A lot of you have expressed that you just really don’t like her. For those of you who feel that way, this is going to be really bad news for you. It turns out that the producers have big plans to include her father! That’s right. This new male character they’re adding is none other than Zoe’s dad! According to a new report from the folks over at Entertainment Weekly, Wayne Brady just started filming his first Bold And The Beautiful episode on Friday, October 26, 2018. His character is scheduled to make his first onscreen appearance on the Friday, November 30, 2018 episode.
Wayne’s character will be named Dr.Buckingham. A spokesperson for The Bold And The Beautiful described the Dr. Buckingham character as,“a worldly, intelligent, and sophisticated man who quickly finds himself entangled in a web of passion and mystery after joining a Los Angeles-area hospital.” Hmmm, that sounds sort of intriguing.
So, for those of you who thought Zoe was out of the picture, think again. It turns out that the producers were just busy making even bigger plans for her it seems. Again, her father isn’t just showing up for a guest visit. He’s actually going to be a fulltime series regular!
The Entertainment Weekly article went on to point out that Wayne Brady caught Bold And The Beautiful head writer Bradley Bell’s attention when he visited his 15 year old daughter Maile Brady on the set. Maile was the one who played Emma’s friend Tiffany in one of the October episodes. Tiffany told Emma she was worried about her jealousy issues again or something like that. Anyways, when Wayne visited the Bold And The Beautiful set, he told Bradley that he watched the show as a youngster and would love a chance to join the mix.
It turns out that those were magic words for Wayne because Bradley decided to write him into the show! Currently, Wayne has been the host of “Let’s Make A Deal” game show since 2009. Entertainment Weekly is saying that Wayne’s new, fulltime “Bold And The Beautiful” gig shouldn’t effect his “Let’s Make A Deal” game show job. He will continue to do it along with the soap opera.
Currently, there’s no information on what Wayne’s new Dr.Buckingham character will be up to when he arrives on the “Bold And The Beautiful” scene. We can only imagine that his first priority would be to give Zoe a visit though. If that’s the case, that means we can expect to see a lot more of Zoe and so on and so forth.
I’m actually pretty curious to know exactly what they plan to do with Wayne’s character. It really sounds to me that Wayne’s character was included because he got along so well with the head writer of the show and not because the show really needed this new character. Whatever the case, it has happened and now we’re getting Zoe’s father on a fulltime basis. How do you guys feel about that? Do you like it? Do you hate it? In related news, the immediate future for Bold And The Beautiful seems like it will be filled with quite a bit of drama. Quinn is about to totally go off on Donna Logan who has returned to fulltime action on the show. Apparently, Donna is going to get too close to Eric for Quinn’s liking, and this is going to cause Quinn to heavily threaten Donna! One of Quinn’s future lines with Donna is, “If you try to get your hooks into my husband, I will destroy you.” Yep, I don’t think Quinn can make things any clearer than that.
Another big storyline that’s coming up, has to do with crooked Dollar Bill’s latest revenge plot. Apparently, he’s going to find out that Ridge was illegally involved in Will’s custody case. Bill and Justin are going to end up setting a major trap for Ridge and judge McMullen at some in the not-to-distant future.
