New ‘Law And Order SVU’ Season 20 Episode 21 Delayed. It’s Not Airing April 18, 2019
Hey, “Law And Order: SVU” fans. Unfortunately, it’s one off those times again where we have to inform you guys that your favorite show is about to take a brief hiatus, but don’t worry. This one actually won’t last for very long. It turns out that the next, new episode 21 will not be airing next Thursday night, April 18, 2019.
Nope, nope, nope. Instead, NBC has scheduled it to air Thursday night, April 25, 2019. So, definitely be sure to mark down that very important date on your TV show calendars.
So, what will NBC possibly be airing instead of your favorite show next Thursday night, April 18, 2019. Well, according to the TV Guide listings, NBC is actually going to air “Law And Order: SVU.” It just won’t be a new episode. They’re going to be re-airing the 7th episode of season 20, which is titled, “Caretaker.” NBC’s official description for it, reads like this, “The cops wrestle with an unthinkable crime when a family is murdered in their sleep.”
If that’s an episode that any of you guys missed the first time around, next Thursday night could be your night to finally watch it. However, for those of you who did see it and have no interest in watching it again, you will definitely want to schedule something else to watch or do next Thursday night.
Ok, so now that we’ve got the bad, awful news out of the way, we do have a bit of good news to share with you guys. It turns out that NBC did release a press release for episode 21, which gives a little teaser of what you guys can expect to see take place in it.

Alright, now that we’ve warned all the spoiler haters, let’s jump right into this episode 21 description that NBC was nice enough to offer up. For starters, the press release revealed that episode 21 is labeled/titled, “Exchange.” So, that’s a pretty simple title. It sounds like episode 21 will feature yet another female horror story as a young, foreign exchange student girl gets assaulted by a vicious cab driver, and Olivia Benson swoops in to offer her assistance.
NBC’s official description reads like this, “Benson (Mariska Hargitay) helps a teenaged exchange student after she’s assaulted by a cab driver.”
Episode 21 will also feature a couple of guest stars. They are: Anna Van Patten as character (Emilia Barassi), Isabella Pisacane as character (Lara Barassi), Darren Goldstein as character (Richard Matthews) and Erin Dilly as character (Mary Matthews).
Other season regulars that will be featured in episode 21 are: Ice T as character Odafin Tutuola, Kelli Giddish as character Amanda Rollins and Peter Scanavino as character Dominick Carisi Jr. Again, NBC’s press release confirmed that episode 21 is indeed scheduled to air on Thursday night, April 25, 2019 at approximately 9 pm central standard time.
