Power Book II Ghost Season 1, January 3, 2021 Episode 10 Is The Finale. Season 2 Is Happening
Hey,”Power Book II: Ghost” fans. This article is for all of you who didn’t get the original memo yet. Tonight’s new episode 10 is indeed the last one for Power Book II: Ghost’s very first, premiere season one. That’s right, guys. That means you won’t be seeing a new episode for a while.
But here is the good news. You will get to see another new episode of Power Book II Ghost at some point in the future because STARZ did definitely renew it for a brand new season 2!
According to the folks over at TV Line, Starz actually renewed it way back in September 2020. So, they were definitely pleased with how it was doing.
Courtney Kemp who is the series creator/ showrunner/ executive producer made a statement about the renewal stating, “I am incredibly humbled by and grateful for the response from our Power fans. They are the best fans in the world, period.
To have our fans return and bring new viewers to the first spinoff in the Power universe is a dream come true. In the second season, Tariq’s journey with the Tejada family will get even more complicated and more dangerous as he begins to understand the man he’s going to become.”
Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson also made a statement. He said, “When I had the idea to create the Power universe, I knew there were going to be many levels to its success. I am glad the fans agree. I am looking forward to releasing Power Book III: Raising Kanan and Power Book IV: Force soon.”
According to TV Line, Power Book II: Ghost is actually is the most-watched show on the STARZ network with almost 7.5 million viewers between the STARZ channel and their app.
We’ve got the LIVE ratings and viewership numbers for season 1. It averaged 571,000 Live viewers per episode and a 0.18 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics.
The most recent episode 9, which aired last Sunday night, December 27, 2020, drew in 560,000 LIVE viewers and a 0.19 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode 1 with 680,000 LIVE viewers. The least-watched episode was episode 8 with 468,000 LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was the premiere episode 1 with a 0.23 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 8 with a 0.14 ratings score.
We’re pretty sure most of their viewers came in through the app and other streaming services. Whatever the case, STARZ liked it’s performance enough to give it a new season 2 without hesitation. So, all is well and fabulous in the Power universe.
Unfortunately, we don’t yet have a premiere date for season 2 or an episode count. We’ll have to give you guys that important info at a later date.
