Survivor October 27, 2021 Voted Off No One (Recap)
Hey, “Survivor” fans. Tonight, October 27, 2021, another new episode of Survivor season 41 did indeed air. Tonight’s episode kicked off with Shantel talking about her experience dealing with Ricard. She told the private cams, “I can’t fully trust Ricard.” She told Ricard she was bothered that he didn’t give her back her extra vote advantage when she asked for before the last tribal council.
Shantel asked Ricard again to give her the extra vote advantage back, and he finally did after she pressured him about trust.
At the Yase tribe, they got a note, telling them the merge was finally happening. The Luvu tribe talked about trying to stick together after the merge.
Next, host Jeff Probst explained that this merge will be quite different than past seasons. The contestants will actually have to earn their way into the merge. They separated everyone into two teams. The yellow team featured: Shantel, Xander, Tiffany, Liana and Heather. The blue team featured: Ricard, Evvie, Sydney, Danny and Deshawn.
Naseer and Erika sat out due to a draw because everyone drew colored balls for which team they were going to be on. Naseer and Erika drew grey balls , which meant they couldn’t compete, and their fate would be decided by the winning team.
During this team challenge, the teams had to work to dig out sand from around a huge boulder so they could roll it out. Then, they had to roll the boulder to a key station. From there, they had to climb on top of the ball to reach the keys and get them.
They had to do the same thing for a second key station. Once they collected the two keys, they had to climb up on a tower. Then they had to use the keys to unlock puzzle pieces and put a puzzle together for the win. When it was all said and done, the blue team won.
The blue team won a large meal, immunity and something called a merge buff, which I guess means they earned their way into the merge. All of these twists they have this season are pretty confusing to keep up with.
Anyways, the losing team obviously didn’t win anything and had to compete in the immunity challenge. The winning blue team also got to pick between the two people who sat out of the competition to go with them to eat their big meal. It was either Naseer or Erika. They ended up choosing Naseer. They’re reasoning was that they just did a rock, paper, scissors toss up to pick between them.
Since Erika was not picked, she had to go to another island all by herself for two days with just a little bit of rice and water to live on.
Danny told the private cams that they really sent Erika away because they wanted to keep as many men as they can. He also said Erika should be the first one to go at the next tribal council.
They showed footage of Erika alone on the island. She managed to make a fire and do what she needed to do.
Liana told Shantel about her advantage of being able to steal an idol or advantage from someone if they had it. Shantel told the private cams, “I’m excited to work with Liana.” Liana also told Tiffany about her advantage.
Liana told the private cams, “Tiffany is like poison.” Meanwhile, “Tiffany told the private cams, “I’m nervous about Liana because she didn’t tell me about her advantage right away. I’m not sure I will have her back.”
Both the losing and winning teams reunited and gave each other hugs and chatted.
Danny mentioned again that Erika should go because he doesn’t want her coming back for revenge or something. Sydney mentioned that Erika should go because she could have gotten an advantage while she was away on that island. A lot of the other contestants were in agreement.
Shantel, DeShawn and Liana were seen talking about working together because they all have the same skin color.
Jeff visited Erika on the island, and revealed that she indeed is being given a tremendous power. She will have the opportunity to turn back time and erase who won the team competition earlier. She had until the next morning to make her decision.
Erika told the private cams she was apprehensive about doing it because a lot of her original tribemembers were on the winning team. And that’s what closed out this episode.
No one was voted off in this episode because it’s part of a two-part episode, which is to be continued in next week’s new episode.
The next, new episode of Survivor season 41 is scheduled to air next Wednesday night, November 3, 2021 at approximately 7 pm central standard time on CBS.
