Tough As Nails October 27, 2021 Eliminated Sarah Ham From Individual Competitions (Recap)
Hey, “Tough As Nails” fans. Tonight, October 27, 2021, another new episode of “Tough As Nails” season 3 did indeed air, and another contestant was eliminated from individual competitions.
Tonight’s episode kicked off with the team challenge. During it, they had to replace parts of an ocean buoy for the win. They had to install new lights, a bridal assembly and chains. They had to do this for two buoys for the win.
Sarah was chosen to be crew boss for the Savage Crew team. Jerome was chosen to be crew boss for the Dirty Hands team.
During the challenge, Alfie ran into some trouble with his blow torch to heat up the chain pin. However, he eventually got it working so they could hammer it down.
The Dirty Hands ended up winning this team challenge to claim the $12,000 dollar prize. They also tied up the team wins 2-2. The first team to win 5 challenges gets $60,000 extra dollars.
Next up, was the individual competition. During it, they had to change into an orange water suit. Then swim out to rescue a fake dummy victim that weighed as much as they do. The slowest times had to compete in the overtime challenge to keep their life in the individual competitions.
For this challenge, they were split up into 2 heats. Before the comp started, Alfie revealed he had claustrophobia. Sarah revealed that she’s afraid of the ocean. Everyone was supportive and said they would save Sarah if she needed it.
In the first heat, Mike got first place with a time of 3:57. Jerome got second place. Elizabeth got 3rd place. Christine got 4th place. Lia showed up in last place. So, she had to go into overtime.
In the second heat Tak got first place with a time of 4:42. Quincey got 2nd place. Kelsey took 3rd place. Alfie got 4th place. Sarah finished last. So, she had to go into overtime with Lia. Mike won a prize for finishing with the fastest time of both heats.
During the overtime challenge, Sarah and Lia had to throw grapples into the water and latch on to a buoy. Then they had to drag it on to the dock, release the grapple hook and put the anchor into a locker box. They had to do this for three buoys to claim the win.
It came down to the wire, but Lia just beat Sarah by a few seconds for the win. So, Sarah was eliminated from the individual competitions, but she’ll still be around to play in the team challenges.
