Law & Order SVU Season 23, March 24, 2022 Episode 17 Delayed. Not Airing For A While
Hey, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” fans. Unfortunately, we’ve got some bad news that we’ve got to run by you in this article. For some unknown reason, NBC is putting Law & Order: SVU’s next, new episode 17, season 23 episode on the back burner tonight, March 24, 2022. They’re also not going to air it next Thursday night, March 31, 2022.
Yep, it’s official. Law & Order: SVU is in the midst of another 2-week delay. NBC let us know that they do intend to air the new episode 17 on Thursday night, April 7, 2022 in its usual, 8 pm central standard time slot. So, definitely be sure to not forget that very important date and time.
So, what is NBC airing in place of Law & Order: SVU during this two-week delay? We did track down that information. It turns out that NBC will still be airing Law & Order: SVU episodes. It just won’t be new ones. Nope, they’re airing a set of repeats. Tonight, they’re going to re-air the 7th episode this season 23 titled, “THEY’D ALREADY DISAPPEARED.”
NBC’s official description for it reads like this, “When a teenage sex worker disappears, Rollins and Velasco find a key clue in a pile of neglected missing persons reports.”
Then, next Thursday night, March 31, 2022, NBC is going to re-air the 8th episode of this season 23 titled, “NIGHTMARES IN DRILL CITY.” NBC’s official description for it reads like this, “Carisi asks the SVU for help with a murder investigation when one of the witnesses shows signs of abuse.”
If any of you guys are interested in watching a couple of repeat episodes of Law & Order: SVU, NBC might still be the channel for you during this 2-week delay. However, if you only want to watch all new episodes of Law & Order: SVU, you will certainly want to get something else lined up for Thursday nights as quick as you can.

NBC let us know that this new episode 17 of Law & Order: SVU’s current season 23 is officially labeled/titled,”ONCE UPON A TIME IN EL BARRIO.” It sounds like episode 17 will serve up some more scandalous, intense, dramatic, possible action-filled, suspenseful and emotional scenes.
In the new episode 17, Velasco will have a pretty intense-sounding conversation with Olivia Benson at some point. During their talk, we’re going to see Velasco ask Olivia if she will assist him in searching for the whereabouts of three women that were trafficked into New York City from his hometown.
NBC’s official description for episode 17 reads like this, “Velasco asks Benson for help finding three girls who were trafficked from his hometown to New York City.”
Again, NBC confirmed that the next, new episode 17 of Law & Order: SVU’s current season 23 is scheduled to finally show up on Thursday night, April 7, 2022 at approximately 8 pm central standard time.
