New Monarch Season 1 December 6, 2022 Episode 11 Is The Finale. Season 2 Not Yet Confirmed
Hey, “Monarch” fans. We hope you guys totally enjoyed the heck out of episode 11 tonight, especially since it was the very last episode for Monarch’s current season 1. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s episode 11 was indeed the season 1 finale episode. That means it could also be the very last episode forever according to what we’ve learned, or rather, haven’t learned.
Yeah, unfortunately, we’re still waiting to see if FOX will renew Monrach for a brand new season 2. Right now, things are very much still up in the air. Since we don’t have anything official from FOX for the future status of this show, we’re going to take a quick look at the numbers that Monarch’s first season put up for FOX and try to give you guys an educated guess as to what might happen. Alright, so let’s get to it.
According to the LIVE Neilson ratings, Monarch season 1 averaged 1.896 million LIVE viewers per episode, and a 0.28 ratings score for the 18-49 year old demographics. The most recent episode 10, which aired last Tuesday night, November 29, 2022, drew in 1.846 million LIVE viewers, and a 0.21 ratings score.
The most-viewed episode was the premiere episode with 4.034 million LIVE viewers. The least-viewed episode was episode 9 with 1.429 million LIVE viewers.
The highest-rated episode was the premiere episode 1 with a 0.91 ratings score. The lowest-rated episode was episode 4 with a 0.17 ratings score.
Judging from those numbers, I have to say this show started off really well with the premiere episode 1 bringing in over 4 million LIVE viewers. But, wow, did it take a huge dip in that second episode to 1.715 million LIVE viewers, and it never really recovered. It lost over half of the premiere episode’s audience.
The viewership numbers after the premiere episode seem quite low for a major network like FOX, but I have seen shows with these type of numbers squeak by and get a renewal somehow because they have high streaming numbers. I can definitely say that I understand why we haven’t gotten a renewal announcement from FOX yet. They’re probably on the bubble with this one at the moment.
I would definitely tell you guys to keep your fingers crossed really hard for Monarch because if FOX decides to cancel it, we wouldn’t be surprised. If Monarch gets renewed, I would say that is very lucky close call. It’ll come down to how much FOX has to actually pay for this show versus what how much they make off of it, and only FOX has access to that info. So, we’ll see.
Again, usually when shows have under 2 million LIVE viewers or so on these major networks like FOX, CBS, ABC and NBC, they don’t usually make the cut. So, again, just keep your fingers crossed for this one.
