The Bachelorette July 10, 2023 Eliminated Warwick, James, Adrian & Aaron S (Recap)
Hey, “Bachelor Nation” fans. Tonight, July 10, 2023, another new episode of The Bachelorette with headliner Charity Lawson did indeed air, and another couple of guys did get sent packing at the end of it. Tonight’s episode kicked off with Charity showing up to tell the guys that they’re heading out to Oceanside, California. She also told them she’s giving Brayden a 1 on 1 date.
Charity told the private cams, “I’m really excited to have this 1 on 1 date with Brayden. However, I am concerned if he’s really ready to commit to someone after he told me he was about to leave. I want to have an important conversation with him. This is a test.”
They took a helicopter ride to the PetCo pro baseball Park in San Diego, California. They played catch and hit a couple of baseballs. They did some kissing. They definitely had a great time. They talked. Brayden told her he really likes talking with her and hanging out, but runs into doubt when he’s away from her. Charity told the private cams, “I’m really concerned about this experience being too much for Brayden.”
During the second half of their date, Charity and Brayden talked some more over drinks. Charity told him, “You scared me when you talked about leaving.” Brayden said,”This is scary for me because you are dating other people. When I see you walk out the door with other guys, it hurts. I will continue to try and be strong. I can’t promise 100 percent, but I’m gonna try. I think you’re someone worth trying for.”
Charity told the private cams,”I appreciate the real answers from Brayden. That was what I was looking for.” She told Brayden, “I appreciate that your’re going to try for me. That’s all I can ever ask for,” and she gave him a rose. Then, they kissed again. Charity told the private cams, “I’m really happy. I’m happy to be here with Brayden.”
Next, we saw a group date with Charity featuring: Aaron B., Michael, James, Caleb, Aaron S., Sean, Xavier, Tanner, Adrian, Dotun, and John. Charity took them to a Barbie land. Former Bachelorette headliner JoJo and her man Jordan were there to help Charity judge a Barbie singing competition that the guys had to participate in. They got dressed up in special outfits from the new Barbie movie and sang different variations of the popular Cyndi Lauper song titled, “Girls Just Wanna have fun.”
Ultimately, Charity chose Sean as the winner after the competition was complete, and he got to spend some special 1 on 1 time with Charity as a reward. They were seen kissing on the peer. So, that went well for them.
During the group date afterparty, Charity talked with Sean. He told her their 1 on 1 time together was just so special, and they kissed. The other guys were upset that Sean grabbed Charity for a talk right after he spent 1 on 1 time with her, and they let him know it. They called him rude and inconsiderate.
Charity talked with John. He told her, “I’m a patient man, and I’ll always be here for you,” and they kissed. Charity talked with Michael. Charity talked with Dotun. She brought Dotun to her room to make him feel more special. He told her, “I feel like your someone I can learn from. That is so important to me.” Charity said, “That means so much to me. It brings tears to my eyes. I don’t usually get told that. There’s definitely something here,” and they kissed.
Charity told the private cams of Dotun, “No one has ever talked that way about me ever. I’m really excited for what’s to come with him.” She gave Dotun the group date rose. Aaron B told private cams that he was mad he didn’t get time with Charity and blamed Sean for stealing extra time.
Next, we got footage of Warwick’s 1 on 1 date with Charity. She took him to an amusement park. They had a lot of fun while riding all the rides. Charity told the private cams, “I want to learn more about him.” However, when it came time to talk, Charity told the private cams, “I’m pretty disappointed.”
She really struggled to get him to talk and open up. He did say, “My past relationships didn’t work out for whatever reason,” and he couldn’t really elaborate much further about himself. He did acknowledge that communicating is a weakness of his. Charity told the private cams, “This is ridiculous.”
Ultimately, Charity told Warwick, “I can’t give you a rose.” He said, “It’s ok. I wish you the best.” During his exit ride, Warwick yawned and told the private cams, “We were just on two different pages. It would’ve just been like wasting time.” Then, he literally fell asleep!
After all of that, Brayden was seen telling the rest of the guys, “I don’t know if I an get engaged to Charity after seeing her date 20 something other guys. I could date her, but I don’t know about an engagement.” Aaron B definitely didn’t like what Brayden said and told the private cams, “Brayden should be worried because I’m going to tell Charity the whole truth about him.”
At the cocktail party, Charity talked with Joey. He talked to her about how important family is to him. Charity really liked that, and they kissed. Charity talked with Xavier. He knit something for her. She liked it, and they kissed. Charity talked with Brayden. They laughed and giggled about the time they’ve spent together, and they kissed.
Charity talked with Aaron B. He told her, “I’ve grown protective of your feelings, and I need to tell you about Brayden. He’s not ready for an engagement. He’s very unsure of you. He’s going around the house, saying he’s not ready to get engaged to someone who’s dated 20 of his other friends. I just don’t want to see you waste your time.”
Charity told Aaron B, “I appreciate it.” Aaron B told Brayden that he ratted him out to Charity. So, they had a confrontation. Brayden told Aaron B and the private cams that Aaron B didn’t need to bring up his name to Charity, and he’s just doing it because he’s insecure.
Charity was really upset with Brayden and told the private cams, “Who does Brayden think he is? He’s seen the show. He should know he is not the only man here. I don’t have a problem taking back the rose I gave him.” Then, she pulled Brayden aside to tell him,”I’m irritated with you and the things you’ve been saying about me around the house.”
Brayden told her, “I told you before that I’m not currently sure that I want to get engaged to you yet.” Charity said, “But you knew what this was.” Brayden said, “I knew what it was, but it’s still not easy. I think my hesitancy is more real than what everyone else is expressing. All I can promise you ,right now, is that I can give you a connection.”
From there, Charity cut the cocktail party short. So, the guys who didn’t get time with her were upset with Aaron for ratting out Brayden, and they let him know it. Before the rose ceremony, Charity told host Jesse Palmer,”I don’t trust Brayden now, and I’m seriously considering removing his rose.”
At the rose ceremony, Charity gave: Aaron B., Caleb, Xavier, Joey, Michael, John, Sean, and Tanner a rose to join Dotun and Brayden who received roses earlier in this episode. That means that poor: James, Adrian, and Aaron S did not get a rose and joined Warwick who was eliminated earlier in this episode.
In regards to the whole Brayden situation, Charity told the private cams, “My head is saying send Brayden home, but my heart is saying I feel something for this man. I decided to let Brayden stay because he is a strong connection.”
