The Bachelorette August 14, 2023 Revealed Men Tell All & More (Recap)
Hey, Bachelor Nation fans. Tonight, August 14, 2023, another new episode for The Bachelorette 2023 edition featuring headliner Charity Lawson did indeed hit the air. This one was the special Men Tell All episode. They brought back: Spencer, Sean, Brayden, John, Xavier, Tanner, Aaron, Adrian, James and Peter to talk about what took place this season.
They started things off by watching a video montage of some of the most explosive moments of this season. Then, it was time for everyone to pretty much start attacking Brayden. Sean told Brayden that he was very manipulative. A lot of the other guys expressed their issues with Brayden as well.
Adrian told Brayden he signed up for the wrong show. The guys confronted Sean for stealing extra time from Charity after his 1 on 1 time with her. Peter talked about how the guys put the initials FP (F*%ck Peter) on their Instagram posts and how that really bothered him because he felt like he didn’t do anything to deserve that.
Xavier apologized to Peter for doing it. Some of the other guys explained that Peter rubbed them the wrong way with his attitude towards them on the first night. He also talked about endorsement deals and things of that nature. He was sent home the first night. No one thought he was there for the right reasons.
After all of that, Brayden took the hot seat with host Jesse Palmer to answer some questions. They started by taking a look back at his moments on the show. Brayden said, “Watching it back was tough. The hardest thing was knowing that Charity was really feeling all those things for me. Ultimately, I realized I couldn’t get down on one knee after all of this. So, I had to leave.”
Brayden also talked about his surprise return saying, “I didn’t like how I left, and I was just concerned about apologizing to someone that I hurt. I was ready to fight the guys when they followed me out to the exit car that night.” At one point, Jesse announced that Brayden will be on the new season of Bachelor in Paradise.
Next, Xavier took the hot seat with Jesse Palmer. They took a look back at his moments on the show. Xavier said, “It’s tough to watch that back because I just wanted to be so honest. My last conversation with Charity didn’t happen the way I wanted it to happen. I stuck my foot in my mouth. I did it because one of my biggest fears was for love to not be reciprocated back to me. I got a therapist to work on myself, so that I’ll be ready when the right person comes into my life. I just want Charity to know that I truly want the best for her.”
Next, host Jess Palmer brought out the Bachelorette headliner herself Charity Lawson to answer some questions. She explained that she really clicked with Brayden, which is why she gave him the first impression rose. Then, she told Brayden, “I didn’t like how you talked about our relationship with the other guys in the house. I gave you a lot more grace than I should’ve given you.” Brayden said, “You’re 100 percent right. I’m sorry about talking to the guys about you in that way.”
Sean told Charity, “You showed us nothing but honesty and grace the whole time. You made us all better men. I just wanted to thank you for that.”
Tanner told Charity, “This was one of the best experiences of my life.” Charity told John, “It was nothing you did. It was just about what I needed and was looking for in the moment, but you’re awesome.”
Charity said, “I don’t think Xavier really felt like getting engaged to me.” Xavier told Charity, “In Fiji, there was no doubt that I wanted to be with you. I wanted to be that faithful person, but the expression of my doubts just didn’t come out in the right way.”
Charity told Xavier, “You kept telling me you’re not sure you wanted to commit.” Xavier said, “I allowed the fear to consume me. I wasn’t trying to get there just to have sex with you. I was trying to get a deeper connection with you. I told you I love you during my exit because that’s how I really felt about you in that moment. You carried yourself with grace and poise.” Then, he gave her a knit rose because he was into knitting. Charity said, “Thank you. I wish the best for you,” and they hugged.
After all of that, they showed some bloopers. Then, they brought out former Bachelorette headliners: Trista Sutter, Desiree Siegfried and Deanna Pappas. They gave Charity some advice. Trista said, “Forgiveness is important.” DeAnna said, “You have to remember who you are at your core.” Trista told Charity, “I’m so proud of you.” DeAnna said, “You spoke your mind, and you’re strong.” Desiree said, “You let us know exactly what you were thinking and feeling. It was fun to watch.”
Next, they did a little preview session for their new Golden Bachelor show, and brought out the headliner of it, which is 71 year old Gerry Turner. Gerry talked about what he’ll be looking for during his season. Host Jesse Palmer told him he’s been trending on social media. Gerry said, “I’m sure I would appreciate that a whole lot more if I knew what that meant.” So, it was a pretty funny segment. Tonight’s show wrapped up with them showing a new preview clip for next week’s finale episode of The Bachelorette.
