New Dateline NBC October 5, 2023 Special 1 Hour Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “Dateline NBC” fans. We’re back in your faces to let you know that the NBC folks are going to serve up a new, special episode of Dateline NBC tonight, October 5, 2023. Don’t worry. You guys are still getting your usual, new, 2-hour episode tomorrow night, October 6, 2023, but tonight, NBC has a special 1-hour episode that they’re dishing up. It will be the 2nd episode of Dateline NBC’s current season 32, and we’ve got some new preview information for it.
NBC served up a new, official press release for tonight’s new, October 5, 2023 episode 2. So, we’re going to certainly see what it has to say in this preview session. Let’s do it.
To start, NBC let us know that tonight’s new, October 5, 2023 episode 2 of Dateline NBC season 32 does have an official title, It’s called, “The Note.”
In tonight’s new, October 5, 2023 episode, the Dateline NBC team will take a deep look at a story about a Fairfield, Illinois high school student named Megan Nichols. She all of a sudden vanished from her house during the overnight hours. Her mother found a note from her, which says she ran away. However, the investigators who worked the case eventually found a horrific discovery three years later, which changed the entire direction of this investigation.
Canadian journalist Andrea Canning handled the reporting duties for this episode and case. This episode featured interviews with: Megan’s mother, Kathy Jo Hutchcraft, Police Chief Keith Colclasure, FBI Agent Ray Hart, Megan’s friends and others.
NBC’s official description for tonight’s new, October 5, 2023 episode 2 of Dateline NBC season 32 reads like this, “When high school student Megan Nichols vanishes from her Illinois home overnight, her mother finds a note from Megan saying that she ran away. But a grisly discovery made three years later changes the course of the investigation. Thursday’s all-new Dateline features exclusive interviews with Megan’s mother, investigators, and the college student who helped uncover the truth.”
An alternate description tells us,”DATELINE NBC BEGINS THURSDAY NIGHT PROGRAMMING WITH ALL-NEW ONE-HOUR REPORT ON AN ILLINOIS MISSING TEEN. It Features Exclusive Interviews with Insiders Close to the Case, Including the Victim’s Mother.”

NBC’s press release confirmed that the next, new episode 2 of Dateline NBC’s current season 32 is indeed scheduled to hit your TV screens tonight, October 5, 2023, starting at approximately 9 pm central standard time. Again, this one will just be a 1-hour episode.
