New 20/20 January 5, 2024 Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “20/20” fans. We’re back with some terrific news for you guys because the ABC folks are going to finally deliver up the next, new episode 11 of 20/20’s current season 46 tonight, January 5,2024. That’s right, guys. After weeks of delays, ABC is finally letting it out of the bag tonight, and we’ve got some new preview information for it to run by you guys.
ABC put out an official press release for tonight’s new, January 5, 2024 episode 11. So, we will certainly reference it for this preview session. Let’s get to it.
For starters, we’ve got an official title for this new episode 11 of 20/20 season 46. It’s called, “Three Shots in the Dark.” In tonight’s new episode 11, the 20/20 team will take a deep look at a story about a woman named Anna Moriah Wilson. She was a promising young cyclist who brought new energy to an up and coming sport called, gravel racing.
Unfortunately, she was fatally shot in Austin,Texas back in May of 2022 just a few days before a major race was going to take place. A fellow cyclist by the name of Colin Strickland was the last person to ever see her alive. He had a short, romantic relationship with Anna, but they went back to just being friends.
The investigators who worked this case singled out Colin’s on-again/off-again girlfriend Kaitlin Armstrong as a main suspect. This led to a 43-day hunt for Kaitlin, which crossed state and international lines. Finally, a trial took place for this crime in November 2023, and a verdict was reached. ABC News chief national correspondent Matt Gutman handled the reporting duties for this case and episode.
The episode also features interviews with Mike Armstrong, Kaitlin’s father; Nicole Mertz, Kaitlin’s former friend who tipped off police to disturbing comments she allegedly made about Moriah; and a neighbor at the crime scene who provided key surveillance videos to authorities.
The episode also features the first interviews with Jose Garza, Travis County district attorney, and prosecutors Rickey Jones and Guillermo Gonzalez. Additional interviews include Kaitlin’s neighbors in Costa Rica, including one who witnessed her arrest.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new, January 5, 2024 episode 11 of 20/20 season 46 reads like this, “STAR CYCLIST GUNNED DOWN BY FRIEND’S JEALOUS GIRLFRIEND – ’20/20′ REPORTS ON THE MURDER, INTERNATIONAL CHASE AND TRIAL. When a pro athlete is murdered, police embark on an international chase for the killer. This Episode Features Exclusive Interviews With the Killer’s Father and a Former Friend, Who Helped Police Catch Her.”
ABC’s press release confirmed that the next, new episode 11 of 20/20’s current season 46 is indeed scheduled to finally show up on the air tonight, January 5, 2024, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time. Tonight’s new episode will be a 2-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
