New 20/20 February 16, 2024 Episode Preview Revealed
Hey, “20/20” fans. We’re back in your faces , once again, to let you know that the ABC folks do have another new episode of 20/20 all lined up and ready to go for you tonight, February 16, 2024. That’s right, guys. Tonight’s new episode is the 17th one for 20/20’s current season 46, and we’ve got some new preview intel for it.
ABC put out an official press release for tonight’s new, February 16, 2024 episode 17. So, we will certainly take a look at it ,right now, for this preview session Let’s go.
For starters, there is an official title for this new episode 17 of 20/20 season 46. It’s called,”Love , Honor, Betray.” In tonight’s new, February 16, 2024 episode 17, the 20/20 team took a deep look at a story about a man named Tyrone Hassel III. He grew up in a tough neighborhood and beat all the odds by becoming an honor student who excelled at sports.
He also won a college scholarship to study engineering. Eventually, he joined the Army and quickly rose through the ranks to become a Sgt along side his wife Army Specialist Kemia Hassel.
Unfortunately, he was shot to death while visiting his family for the holidays. The investigators who worked the case wondered who would want him dead. This episode is going to present a inside look at the investigation via some body camera footage, jail phone calls and never-before-seen, police interrogation videos. This case does eventually get solved. When it does, it reveals a very cold and heartless plot of adultery and greed that is quite shocking. Also, the suspect is someone they never saw coming.
ABC News correspondent John Quinones handled the reporting duties for this episode and case. This episode features interviews with: Special Agent Zachary Roberts of the Army Criminal Investigation Division, Det. Sgt. Cory Peek of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, and Azmin Velazquez, the killer’s wife at the time of the murder.
It also features interviews with Tyrone Hassel Jr., the victim’s father; Ashanti Hassel, the victim’s stepmother; Sgt. Mike Lanier and officer Jaramee Peppers of the St. Joseph Township Police; Steve Pierangeli, prosecuting attorney for Berrien County; and Rick Biggart, a retired lieutenant from Berrien County Sheriff’s Department. This program includes additional exclusive interviews with close friends and associates of Tyrone Hassel III and Kemia Hassel.
ABC’s official description for tonight’s new episode 17 of 20/20 season 46 reads like this, “A U.S. ARMY SERGEANT IS MURDERED – ’20/20′ INVESTIGATES A HEARTLESS PLOT OF ADULTERY AND GREED. John Quiñones reports the story of a young husband, father and soldier murdered while at home for the holidays.
Interrogation tapes and extensive police body camera footage reveal a twisted tale of heartache and greed. This Program Includes Exclusive Interviews With the Military Investigator and the Killer’s Wife at the Time of the Murder.”
ABC’s press release confirmed that the next, new episode 17 of 20/20’s current season 46 is indeed scheduled to make its arrival tonight, February 16, 2024, starting at approximately 8 pm central standard time. It will be a 2-hour event. So, expect it to wrap up at 10 pm central standard time.
